Riff Raff Chorus

This weeks episode of Glee brought back bad memories. Well mostly because they sang "Stayin' Alive" at the end. It all stems from a bad school production I was in. It was mandatory.

I was in the "chorus". Which was a code for "dumping ground for all the other students". If you weren't an actor or a dancer that's where you belonged in the dreaded chorus. It was mostly filled with misbehaving students. It took 3 teachers to wrangle us. We were that bad.

Do you know how hard that song is to sing? I will never attempt to sing that song in that style again! Ever! The teachers would get mad at us because we didn't or couldn't sing falsetto. Plus I think who ever transcribed the lyrics transcribed them wrong. We sang "The New York Times, a paper man". The real lyric is "The New York Times' effect on man. "

There were other problems like lack of people to cast and lack of props. But this story is so good it belongs in my comic. It's that absurd!

That whole school production was a giant inaccurate mess. I think the teachers wrote it on whim or something.

You know Brittany's idea about being on Hoarders or Fear Factor sounds like something I would think up. I don't know why Mr. Shue is so focused on everybody having a post high school plan? Things can change when they leave. I know that happened to me. I had big plans and aspirations. I was a lot like Rachel, but without wanting to be performer. But I chased too many Waterfalls and ended up where I am now. Rivers and lakes are best. There might possibly be cream here. No rabbits or Clapton. Or there could not. My dead friend use to believe in me and my writing skills. I know she isn't here anymore. But I wouldn't want her to see me like this. Even though I know she is; just not in an earthly form.

I thought last weeks episode would have had a theme. Since Blane's brother appeared. It would have been "musical siblings". Actually that should be a future episode theme. With the Jacksons, the Stefanis , and a bunch of other musical siblings.

I'm still hoping for a New Jack Swing themed episode. Here are some songs I think could be featured. "I Want Her", "What About Your Friends", and "Poison".

I'm just a Sucker with no Self Esteem

Emma’s parents reminded me of my blond obsessed grandma. Preserving the red. Parental stress can drive any child to a “quirk”. I know when my dad pissed me off I do my quirk. It reminded me of this old self esteem quiz that I read in a magazine back when I was in high school that said you had low self esteem if you are embarrassed of your parents. Stupid magazine quiz! Look at this girl she exudes self esteem!

I'm not embarrassed of both my parents; just my dad. Although he has given me a wealth of materiel to write about.

Redheads will be extinct soon, so will the white blond haired blue eyed male. My dad is an endangered species. This is true I saw it on a reputable news program. Maybe I should put him on exhibit like in that Twilight Zone episode.

What Kurt told Rachel was a variation of the “whole lot of middle” speech. I still hope this isn't a Kurt-centric season like the last one was. He's been the focus in 2 of the 3 season 3 episodes. There were a few other references to season 1. Like the Asian vampires.

Giving Mike Chang some character development was nice.

I guess the new plotline will be dueling glee clubs within the same school? That's what it looked like in the previews.

As I was watching that show on prohibition in the US I was thinking "I'm glad I don't have to take notes on this right now". Too bad that is one of the non-marketable skills I'm good at.

Benard is Back!

Back when I was about 11 I started making some comic about a bear named Benard. It was supposed to be Bernard, but I couldn't spell.

The problem with Benard was that it was too abstract. The comic dealt with things like relevant Halloween costumes, Benard's family and other stuff. I didn't make too many Benard comics. About less than 5. The 2 I remember making was his introductory comic and Halloween. I was really close to the Halloween one I thought it was really funny.

Back when I was in 8th grade there was an announcement that the school paper was looking for a cartoonist. I bought some of my best work to show the teacher in charge of it. One of the drawings I brought was of Minnie Mouse, and the teacher said they couldn't use it because that is a copyrighted character. The teacher didn't think the Benard comic was funny. She wanted a comic that dealt with school issues.

I tried to make it work, but it was hard. Benard is preschool aged or maybe he was in Kindergarten? He was no where near junior high age. He did have an older bother who was about 10, but the comic focused on Benard.

Originally the was pink, but I changed his color to blue, so people reading it wouldn't think he was a girl. He did wear a bowtie. He had a girlfriend named Bernia. I forget how it was spelled. I even wrote a song about Benard it was set to the tune of the English Beat's "Mirror in the Bathroom". It was pretty dumb. I wrote around the time I was getting into 2 tone ska.

Here is a drawing of Benard.

An Important date to Remember

My dad asked if I got classes and I said no. I was surprised he wasn't upset about this. Or if he was he didn't show it.

I'll reapply after Shirley's birthday. Only because the people with delinquent accounts (the non-payers) are dropped. This year it happens to fall on her birthday, so I have an easy time to remember the date.

It's so hard for me to prove I'm an independent. I have been since I reached 25? :/ It kept getting flagged for some reason. I don't understand. :/

How Much Frosting do you Choose? a Dunkaroos Review

I was only going to just write an introductory paragraph, but then it turned into more than 5.

According to the wikipedia it says Dunkaroos came out in 1988. But I don’t remember having them until the early 90s circa 1993. I remember when I first ate them they only came in 2 varieties chocolate frosting and plain vanilla frosting. Each variety both had the same graham cracker/cookies with them to dunk.

They were pretty hard to eat not physically. I was because anytime I opened a pack somebody would come out of the woodwork and try to mooch them off me. The type of kid who constantly “forgets” to bring their lunch. They only want your “good food” aka the junk food. Once it runs out or they eat it all they are off to mooch off somebody else. It wasn’t just the Dunkaroos it was also the fruit snacks and the snack cakes too. This is why I don’t eat brownies in public. Actually that could be like a little running gag I have.

The thing I didn’t get about some of those moocher kids was they would brag about their expensive shoes (which they really had) and other things they bragged about. Why couldn’t their family spare a few bucks for some snack foods?

I liked to eat them along with the cheese and bread sticks Handi-snacks. The cookies were good dipped in the cheese and the bread sticks were good dipped in the frosting. (But never the crackers or the pretzels)

They could have been part of the ultimate 90s lunch:
Kool-burst, Squeez-it, Mondo
Dunkaroos
Handi-snacks
Fruit snacks/fruit rolls
Occasionally a Gobble Stick, some cheese, snack cakes, or cookies
A lunchable was more of a treat (I rarely got these)
(A non-90s regular sandwich. Containing lettuce, meat, and mayonnaise on white bread. )

Packed in a Beauty and the Beast or Darkwing Duck lunchbox. Practically every girl in my third grade class had a Beauty and the Beast lunch box, and bunch of other girls at the school. I had to put a few stickers on mine to distinguish it from the others. Some of the girls had those lunch boxes that looked like coolers.

I was being lazy and looking for a picture of a Darkwing Duck lunchbox online, but I managed to find my own. I was looking for something else. Look! A faux retro photo. If I’m only eating that for lunch that is pretty sad. The thermos didn't yellow there was too much glare in that pic.

It was not as exotic as eating sheets of seaweed. I would trade for those. Plus there was a health food craze goin’ on in third and fourth grade. A sandwich with whole wheat bread with lots of veggies and a little bit of meat. Laughing Cow cheese. Don’t forget the 100% juice! I forget what else was included. :/

I remember when the Dunkaroos had funny shapes like feet. The cookies were really shaped like feet. There are some various commercials on youtube.

Enough nostalgic rambling. Onto the review. Since I already had these back in the 90s I sort of have an idea of what they would taste like. It smelled the same. The combination of this one is white sprinkle frosting with cinnamon cookies. The cookies were good and crunchy. They have that cinnamon taste like the old ones did. They still taste the same. The frosting texture seemed a little different from the 90s version, but I'm not sure if that was due to the heat. It was still good. It mostly tastes the same. Nostalgia factor from 1-10. 10 being highest 8. There was some leftover frosting. I ate the leftover frosting like I used to when I was a kid and scoop it out with my finger. it brought me back to 4th grade lunch! Chased it the Dunkaroos down with some Kool-aid. Squeez-its are out of production. :P

Is This Disney?

I'm a little behind on my blogging after blogger had that problem.

I see a lot of people trying to think of Disney themed Halloween costumes, but they can usually only think of the princesses, villains, Pixar and classic characters. Or they come up with non-Disney characters like ones from The Swan Princess and The Corpse Bride.

Here are some ideas of lesser known but still Disney characters: Fluppy Dogs, Wuzzles, Anybody from the Disney afternoon, One Saturday Morning shows like; Pepper Ann, The Weekenders, and Recess, Clarabelle Cow, Horace, Tortoise and the Hare etc.

Here is another thing I'm wondering when did dressing up in costumes on the last day of school come to be? I never remember that when I went to school. Mostly because kids were running around with eggs and stuff. Usually the neighborhood reeked of eggs for about a week after school ended. Usually people dressed nicely or they wore clothes that they would usually get in trouble for like halter tops and booty shorts for girls. They wore banned clothes because they knew they weren't going to get in trouble for wearing them since it was the last day of school.

Miscellaneous blog #42

Here is a bunch of miscellaneous things strung together.

I found the lyrics to "Earthquake Drill". I never realized how horribly laughable the lyrics are. I should post them on here for a good laugh.

After posting that ad on craigslist all I got were offers for scam jobs. Some of them were vague and desperate. Maybe I'll post another ad soon. When the current one expires.

On the way home my dad was looking for a bathroom because he didn't go before we left the venue. He didn't know that a lot of fast food places that are open 24 hours only have the drive thru open after hours to prevent robberies. How could he not know that?! I misspelled the word "sultry" forgive me I was tweeting on my phone, and it doesn't have spell check. :(

The real reason I didn't want to say I was going is because I don't own any recording equipment to record the performance. Here is somebody else's review of the show. Shirley is mentioned as the "Former Garbage front woman" Okay... -_-

Here is something strange after the show I looked up Zooey Deschanel's profile I didn't realized she was in The Offspring's video for "She's Got Issues". My friend use to joke like I was the girl on the video because she sees all these strange cartoon things. She was also in "The Jag" video. I'm not an obsessive fan or anything. Those videos came out at about the same time. Those videos were both on the music video tapes I've been going through. When I watched the "She's Got Issues" video I noticed the girl has an outdated job; she is film developer. That job is pretty much obsolete now.

My dad picks out the tackiest things for my mom. He always wants me to go shopping with him, but he is such a jerk and makes scenes in stores. I'd rather not!

The Lakers NBA finals hopes are crushed. They were eliminated. It reminded me of when they lost to Detroit in 2004. They were really broken back then.

Good News, Bad News

I did get sent to the wrong department. I'm not really sure who could help me. I got paired up with the same counselor from Everybody Hates Counseling. At least this time it was more focused, and not about all the opportunities in America. Which are dwindling by the minute.

But the academic renewal rejection must have been pretty confusing if the counselor from another school didn't get it. I even mentioned to him about the strange phone call I received in February at about 9 AM asking me if I was going to take a failed class immediately. He agreed that it was strange too. He said the committee who over sees academic renewal is composed up of staff and the dean. After he told me that I wondered if that deranged reporter teacher was on the committee. It would be like one of those cheesy teen dramas I watch.

The good news was that the counselor tole me that I can apply for fall classes, and that my academic renewal rejection should not be a problem.

I have a no calling policy because when I did go to school my dad would call me for really stupid things. That’s how I broke my last phone, and I’m not taking a risk on breaking this one. Except for that my phone crapped out on me. It said I didn’t reload it when I did last week. It wouldn’t let me make calls out. At the bus stop I was yelling the phrase “CUSTOMER SERVICE!” into the phone. People at the bus stop were laughing at me. I needed to find a phone. But where? Since everybody uses cell phones I thought all the public phones are gone. They were hard enough to find in 2002. They are even harder to find now.

I had no idea what to do. I decide t just take another bus to get me closer to where I needed to be. This happened to me before, but that was when I lived at my old house so it wasn’t that bad. I lived close to a bus stop. The only bad thing was that I wore some cute shoes and walking a long way in those shoes gave me really bad blisters.

First I was going to go a store that sold phone cards for my type of phone, and recharge it. I decided to not give the phone company that satisfaction. When I get to the bus stop for the other bus I see it zoom by. I was not going to wait idly for another hour for another one. I needed to get home and yell at the people from the phone company and tell them that my phone doesn’t work! So I decided to walk back. I was tired already and it was hot so I walked slowly. I had no idea where I was going, but I remembered that I rode that bus before so I just followed the route. I knew I was on the right path every time I passed a bus stop. At least I got a lot of exercise. I walked a mile and a half.

I did mange to get everything cleared up with the phone company and I didn't need to buy more minutes.

Why did they call this episode a Lady Gaga episode? Really? "Unpretty" was ok, but it didn't do justice to the original TLC version. Everybody needs to see the TLC video. The breast implant scene made me wince. Was I missing something here? I think an appropriate song would have been "Bleed Like Me". I'm just a sucker for that song. I wonder which mall they shoot their mall scenes at? It looks familiar.

I think my shirt would either say "bad teeth", "brown hair", or "childish". Maybe even "tall" or "big feet" because I was very self conscious about my height and shoe size when I was in high school. When I was younger I didn’t like my nose. I wanted one like my cousin’s (who had a pug nose). Now I’m happy with my Paul McCartney-like nose. This was sort of funny since I’ve been fretting about being ugly, and not being able to get a job because of that.

What would your shirt say?

Miscellaneous blog #40

I want to say writing about a nipple aka nipplegate I hope there won’t be a bunch of people looking for pictures of nipples. There are none on here.

Since I have to wait at least 2 weeks for my results from the dean. I hope I didn't inadvertently mention that to my dad. After the 2 week period he'll make me keep calling the school. I don't want it to be like ride share all over again. He had me keep calling this girl for ride share.

I think I should try and take on a bunch of things at once in case the school thing doesn't work as quickly as I thought it would. But if I do that I might run the risk of having too many obligations.

My application got rejected by Harbor Freight tools. I forgot I applied for there. I think I did like back in May.

I called that place again and they still haven't updated their recording. It's been the same one since November!

One place I applied to is hiring again. Does this mean the workers are quickly moved through or that the people are unhappy there. I'm not going back since the last time I was the interview didn't go well.

And Now We Wait

When I walk into the counselor's office there is classical music playing. When the counselor is filling out the paperwork this really intense classical music was playing. It was just so fitting and reminded me of some old commercial project I did in 6th grade. She said she didn't understand my I needed academic renewal, and I didn't either. She said the process will take about 2 weeks. I thought it was going to take longer. After she explained everything to me I still really don't know how it works. Maybe I can get some spring semester classes as an add in. If it doesn't work out I guess I can go to the animal shelter unless I get a job. I guess they are right to not mess around, and go to 2 different community colleges. I learned this the hard way. At least I didn't attend them concurrently.

On the ride home I saw a lady using a very unusual phone. It reminded me of something from Laser Cats. I looked it up it was a Sanyo Incognito. She was talking into it in a funny way. She was talking in to when it was opened like a clam shell. I also saw a guy doing air guitar including chords. He was really rocking out and really bobbing his head. I was so tempted to tweet about him.

I'm thinking about putting the pencil back to the paper. I'm thinking about drawing again, but I haven't decided yet. Maybe I'll just get some ideas out, and see how I like my drawings. I haven't drawn anything original in awhile.

I really like the way non-Cheerios Brittany dresses. I really liked Santana's headband that she wore for Valentines Day with the pink bow. Rachel's heart pajamas and Mercedes' sock monkey pajamas were really cute. Finn's kissing booth was very Peanuts-esque. He asked for dollars. Lucy would ask for coins and shake the can that collected them in. How is "Lima" supposed to be pronounced? Quinn says it one way, and Santana says it another. Lea Michele's voice worked really well for "Firework". When I first heard that song I thought it would be a good fit for her. I really wanted to see in Emma in a Valentines Day outfit. That holiday would seem so her style with her cardigans and Mary Jane shoes. I was saddened by the lack of Sue I would've like to see her ranting about Valentines Day during her news segment. Maybe she is too depressed to rant. I guess since she was the focus of the last episode she was absent from this one.

Friendship Bracelet Sweatshop

I forgot I wrote this. I found it when I was working on that Glee recipe blog. This blog is a companion blog to Keep the Group Intact Now.

It’s registration time.

Remember I wrote a proposal to my former memoir classmates if they wanted to reform an intact group they would have to pay my fees to get me back into class? Then I remembered about the friendship bracelets. I’m proposing they should to this or something similar. Any handicraft would work if there is a market for it.

Perhaps you know this story or you were involved in it, and put together who wrote this.

I don’t remember all the details of this story, but here is the gist of it. A girl in my class wanted to be a cheerleader, but she didn’t have enough money to pay for it. My teacher was teaching an art class and her class made friendship bracelets out of yarn. At first we just traded the bracelets among each other in the class. Then they became popular throughout the whole school.

One day the teacher brought a bunch of fancy yarn to school, and had us make bracelets to sell. Here’s how the operation worked; the class would make the bracelets, we would hand them off to her where she would burn them to seal them. After they were sealed they were put into bags of 5 and given to us to sell. I think they sold for $0.25 each.

There were some problems first I was bad a making bracelets. I didn’t know how to braid. Nobody taught me, so how was I supposed to know? I just made shoddy “twisty” bracelets. (twirling 2 pieces of yarn together) A lot of the kids did really fancy macramé type stuff. After I did learn how to braid I wanted to braid everything. Ended up braiding the hair on my Barbies, My Little Ponies and any other toy that had hair I could braid.

After a while nobody wanted to buy the bracelets. The market was flooded with them. Then I got sick of making bracelets. There was always time scheduled in the day to make them. A thinly veiled art project.

At first I thought it was a good thing, or at least I did because everybody was telling me it was. My mom thought it wasn’t fair, and I didn’t realize what I was doing until I watched The Simpsons.

I had recently watched the Kamp Krusty episode of The Simpsons. Back then I couldn’t really articulate my ideas very well, and I was trying to say that what we were doing was very similar to the sweatshop scene in that episode except we were making bracelets instead of wallets. The teacher just brushed me off, and said I watched too much tv.

When ever I watch the Kamp Krusty episode I think of the bracelets. I don’t remember if we earned enough money or not or if it subsidized the cost.

The only good thing that came out of this was that I learned how to braid.

Creative Writing in 2006

After I thought about it I already took a creative writing class at another school with another teacher. This was back in 2006.

That teacher was doofy and dressed monochromatic. There are a few blogs that mention being in her writing class in the archives.
Week in Review
Week in review (a long entry full of OC references, you've been warned)
Wearing a tie makes you look like a banker (week in review)
Bad potery rulz! (week in review)
She also has a bad rating on the ratemyprofessor website.

I think I'll post other ones in the archives.

My ankle pain is really getting to me. I've been having some really strange dreams.

Keep the Group Intact Now

Today is the 25th anniversary of the Challenger disaster. I can't really remember it since I was 2 years and 18 days old. A lot of people get mad because I don't. Which is funny since this anniversary made me think of an assignment from my old memoir class where we had to write about a world event that happened at least 10 years ago and where we were. Back then it was only 9 years since September 11th and I couldn't think of anything. I ended up writing about the Gulf War. I mentioned it in a blog. (I was thinking about this before I checked my inbox and read the email)

I got the email. I knew it would happen! It was just "when" than "if". All it says is that class registration has started, and the class is filling up. She would like to see us there. I still hope some people dropped the fantasy of keeping that particular group intact. After I thought about it somebody moved to Las Vegas. They can start a new cult providing the popular guy comes back. I'm still up for that offer if somebody wants to pay to get me back in the group they are welcome to.

I'd really like to go back to school for the spring semester, but I don't want to dawdle in memoir, creative writing, or journal. I just took memoir to get a class. If I do go back in the spring I need to take core classes; the few I need. Like that could happen. I'd probably get some bad class because all the good ones are taken.

Why is the semester starting so late? I hate getting out in June. I feel like I'm still in primary school.

Golden State of Mind

The alternate title was "Kickin' it in California". I might use that in the future. I'll leave that in the blog for future reference.

I ran into my friend today on the bus. It was strange because I was just talking about him on Saturday. He thought I moved out of state. I never left the state. I have done a good job on laying low like I wanted to. I can't just "appear" if I could I'd had magical powers or something. I guess my classes last semester didn't coincide with his. I would have liked to tell him about all those people in my memoir class. He did confirm that the anime he recommended was The Meloncoly of Haruhi Suzumiya. He asked about facebook. I really like to keep a low profile on there. I told him about how I don't want to be bombarded with reunion requests/invites. I have lamented about this situation in this blog. I think about 6 times. I did bump up me not going to my reunion to 95%. After thinking about it maybe I should raise it to 98%. He said he is not going.

It was like that time I was a freshman in high school and I had bronchitis. I was out for a week, and I don't know how it started. Somebody started a rumor that I had moved away.

I should take some advice from Hana and not deny or run from my past. Like she did in the J-drama I watched.

As I was walking to the bus stop I tripped on some gnarled tree roots and I turned my ankle. I limped to the bus stop it was about 14 feet away. I could make it. The thing I was most worried about was how my dad would react to it. My ankles are weak. I've turned them at least 7 times since I was 10. Never broke them though. It could be a culmination of old age, weight and weak ankles.

Shirley, my friend and I were all thinking about the same thing. Freaky! Or maybe it is great minds thinking alike?

After I thought about it I think I have the best 3 people in my mind to organize a 10 year high school reunion.

I noticed KTLA added a watermark to their Antenna TV subchannel.

I finished watching Prime Suspect, so I have much better note in case I need them. I have a really strong feeling I do.

Keroppi and Horsea

I went to school because I had an appointment. According to what I was told there. It's going to be harder than I thought. I guess bad grades really do follow you around. Luckily all I have to do is write a smoozy letter to admissions. Keep the My Little Ponies away from me. The strange thing is that the 2 different schools they told me 2 different things. I wonder why there is such a discrepancy between community colleges? I just want to make sure everything is in order before I go back to school. I have a sneaking suspicion that my dad is going to try and do something. I'm not admissions so I can't change anything no matter how many fits he throws. Like all the ones he did last year.

After I came back from the school I went to the dollar store. There were some funny things. I really l like this Keroppi knock off cup.
It almost tricked me until I noticed there were no Sanrio licensing marks. Then I noticed Keroppi and horsea. Who knew Keroppi hung out with Pokemon? Nemo hangs around with sudowoodo.

The toy section is always fun. Why does the table say "likable" on it? Why is there some random anime girl in the mirror? This baby cradle says "loveliness baby" on it.
Here are some erasers I love the motto on the packaging.

Outdated ID

I had to go to my old college and get somethings straightened out. The unorigination at the school is what made me want to leave besides that deranged reporter teacher.

Going back there after 5 year it looks so different. I was hoping not to run into my former deranged reporter teacher, and have something bad happen to me like she throws a newspaper at me.

The ID I had was made of wood and had a carving of me on it. Ok not really. But it was so old the worker at the desk didn't recognize it because it didn't have a school ID number on it. It's legit. Old, but legit.

Some things never change there is still that "cell phone" accessories tent in the quad. Now it sells skins instead of face plates.

On my way home I noticed most of those tax job are most likely filled. It's a good little gig though a person can work for about 3 months.

I tried some Nong Shim Beef and Ginger flavor bowl ramen and it was pretty hot.

Ed, Wibur, Finn and Puck

This is the 50 year anniversary of the tv series Mister Ed! It premiered on January 5th 1961. Shout out to Alan Young!

My dad needed to return a big shirt that my grandma gave him. He needed an "official looking" shopping bag. He wanted a Penny's bag because he was returning it to that store.

What is up with the Glee merchandise? Almost all the note books they had had either a picture of Finn or Puck on them. Hudsman I was going to use their first names, but if Finn and Puck are put together they make a curse word. There are also generic ones that say "Glee" on them. I have a great idea for a note book cover design. A Rachel one with a picture of Rachel on it and gold stars since those are her thing.

When I went to Justice (formerly Limited Too) they were trying to sell me webkins. They told me they are the "new" neopets. I hate when people tell me something is the new something.

No luck on finding a Maneki Neko phone charm.

Started watching Prime Suspect. I was taking notes on it because the last time I watched it I took bad notes. I never know when that will come in handy. I don't know what happened to my old notes. My mom thought I was only good at talking notes on shows I like. According to the description it's only 4 parts. I don't know why, but when I watched it in school it felt like it was 5 or 6 parts. Taking notes on videos/DVDs/tv shows is one of the skills I'm good at since I've been a student for so long. (thank you 10th grade world history teacher)

Let's Think of Something to do While we're Waiting

Yesterday night I watched a tv show about some students going to a hot springs resort and then I had a dream about it.

I filled out my financial aid forms. I have to wait about 3 days until they are processed. I'm not going to tell my dad anything until I know what's going on; because he thinks the projected amount is the amount I get. Doesn't he know the difference? That happened to me last year.

After thinking about having to wait 3 days I thought about this song Mr. Rogers would sing when he was waiting for something. After I thought about the song it made me miss Mr. Rogers. :(

Halloween Memoirs

I was inspired by my memoir class to write a book of Halloween memoirs. I turned in a Halloween story for class. The only reason I did was because it was the only story I had finished at the time. The due date crept up on me. I wrote about Halloween 1994. I didn't want to write too many Halloween stories and bore everybody by writing about the same topic. I didn't want to be known as the person who wrote all those Halloween stories or something like that. This was a concern of mine during that semester.

Ready to go not to go to School in Thinner Shorts

The recent hot spell is making me feel lethargic. I’ll have to pull out my slightly thinner shorts. (A little Conan O‘Brien humor) :P

I went to the dollar store and picked up a few accessories. They might possibly be used for a costume. I picked up 2 pairs of gloves. A long black pair. They were made irregular. The thumb part is as long as the fingers. Well they were a dollar. I think my mom and I can alter the thumb part. I got a pair of “witch” gloves. They are just black gloves with long glittery fingernails glued onto them. I think I’ll add a clear coat of nail polish to keep the glitter from falling off the nails. I picked up a devil dress up set. It’s just a headband with horns and a tail. I’ll have to get my own pitch fork. I bought some creepy cloth. It is usually not suppose to be used for costumes and is for decorative proposes only. I think I can use it to make a creepy shawl or something.

I got an email from one of my former classmates. I didn’t notice it. I haven’t checked that account in 2 days. I accidentally found the message when I was looking for another email. Never mind it was for something that already happened. It’s like that time I tried to join the anime club and missed the email. It included some pretty dorky (unrelated) things. How do they expect to get the whole group together again? Isn’t it like Humpty Dumpty? I for one can say I’m not coming back. Well not by choice, but like I said before unless I fall ass backwards into some money really really soon I won’t go. They can have withdrawals before the class happens. Should I quote Glee and “Run Baby Run” again? I’ll ponder that while eating fries (or should I have international desserts instead?) and listening to the song. I got a proposal for somebody who really wants the group intact they can pay all my fees and stuff to bring me back to class.

I really liked this note Shirley recently posted on facebook. I'll also mention her new song "Lighten Up". It's a rawer song than the ones she previously posted. I like the simplicity of it. I like it more than "Pretty Horses" but less than "In the Snow".

You know what songs I’ve been listening to lately? “Ready to Go” and “Drop Dead Gorgeous” by Republica. “Ready to Go” is a great video. A lot of people confuse Republica with Garbage. Even when I was younger I could tell Saffron’s voice from Shirley’s.
