Request Hour

I haven’t written a blog like this in a while. I feel like writing one like this again so here goes.

I’d like to dedicate “Deadwood” by Garbage to a couple I know. They are not familiar with this song though.

To the person moving to New York I’d like to dedicate “It‘s All Over But The Crying” by Garbage both versions. I’d also like to dedicate “Peaches and Cream” by 112 since I know how much you use to love that song. I know you like No Doubt, but I can’t remember what your favorite song is; maybe you neglected to tell me. I know you do like the album “Tragic Kingdom”.

To all the graduates out there I’d like to dedicate “Graduation” by Vitamin C.

These look like they were drawn by a 1st Grader

I think these drawings are too ugly and simple to even put on Deviantart. I might change my mind though. I drew them in 1st grade.

I drew these during my obsession with the Rescue Rangers.

Just A Girl on American Idol

I put up with a lot for No Doubt/Gwen including enduring Seacrest. If you know me or read this blog you know about my hate for Seacrest. I haven’t had to endure Seacrest for Shirley…yet. I did for Cena like 2 months ago.

No Doubt’s appearance on American Idol was great! It made me think about how much I love Gwen. See? It’s not always about Shirley. This made me think they can book No Doubt, but not Shirley Manson who was/is on a show that was shown on Fox? Go figure! @o@

Gwen looked awesome! She was dressed in her old Tragic Kingdom era clothes. I mean like all she needed was a bindi. She looks good for having 2 kids. I noticed her tops aren’t as cropped as they use to be, but Gwen is maturing. She’s going to be 40 in October. Her hair looked great it was like a mix of the way she wore it in the “Live in the Tragic Kingdom” video/DVD and the way she was wearing it during her solo career. It seemed weird to see Gwen wearing a light colored nail polish. Adrian looked like he was a mix of the Tragic Kingdom era mixed with Return of Saturn. Aside from Gwen I think Adrian has been the most interestingly dressed. I would say the most of all the guys and I’m including Gabe and Steve.

Starburst GummiBursts Review

I was going to write a blog about No Doubt’s appearance on American Idol, but I’ll save that topic for tomorrow. This blog was already written a few days ago. It was just sittin’ around taking up space in my hard drive.

The bag. The Picture was a little hard to take.

This is a nice idea get a gummi and fill it up with a liquid. Just to let you know they are almost exactly like gushers fruit snacks. Do they still make those? The gummi “shell” is not as hard as most gummis, but it was sturdier than a gusher shell. There were no broken or punctured gummis in the pack. I was surprised since I dropped the bag accidentally a few times.

The candy on a plate.

Lemon- my least favorite of the 4 flavors
Orange- good, nothing really special about it
Strawberry- my favorite out of the 4; I think it had the best flavor of all of them
Cherry- tasted almost exactly like cherry gushers

Here’s the commercial. Please tell me if the link is broken.

Get in the Car

On Saturday I was pretending to drive until my mom caught me. There was no key in the ignition or anything; plus as I was pretending to drive I was singing “Driving Lesson”. She wanted to know what I was doing and singing.

My cousin gave a silly idea what if there was a Garbage version of Rock Band or Guitar Hero? That would be such a cool game. You know what I wouldn’t mind a No Doubt version either. I’m not picky I’d take either.

My mom asked me if I was embarrassed because a lot of um…kids who are like 10 years younger than me are learning how to drive. Maybe…a little. Well not being able to drive was my secret shame for many years until I announced that I couldn’t on my old blog. Plus knowing that Shirley didn’t know how to drive for a long time didn’t make me feel so bad.

I have no problem with learning all the written rules in the book and taking the written test.

Although I’m still a little discouraged and terrified of getting behind the wheel. I DO NOT want my dad to try and teach me how to drive again; he mostly just screamed at me and told me what I was doing wrong. Being in a car with him stresses me out; immensely. I really want to take a class a reputable driving school. The only reason I went to the one I originally went to was because it was cheap and it showed. I learned all these bad habits like riding the curb and pumping the break. I am very enthusiastic to start again all I need is the right teacher/program and some money to pay for it.

Which reminds me I should take a picture of myself pretending to drive a car? And then post it on all my profiles like a lot of people do? Maybe I should wear some cool sunglasses too.

I remembered another song I added to the play list since I heard it recently. “Damaged” by Danity Kane. I think I didn’t list that one because I didn’t really want anybody to know I like that song. It’s like a guilty pleasure. Most current pop music no matter how little of it I listen to is a guilty pleasure. If only I could find that list…

Sugar

I don’t do illegal drugs. I’m a child of the 80s. You know The war on drugs, Just Say No, and all that stuff. Because if you do drugs you will end up being an addict immediately. Ok maybe I watched too many after school specials and anti drug shows as a kid. Although I do use caffeine which some people consider a “drug”, but I don’t really. You can chalk me up as being a “bad” person for that. Plus I drink soda, and I love gum.

You know if illegal drugs were personified pot would be a green punk lady, booze would be a hobo, cocaine would be like a female ghost, and tobacco would be a cowboy. You think I made this up? Or I did too many drugs? Oh screw that I’ll just get talked out of doing drugs by cartoon characters.

When I like to drown my sorrows in something I don’t use alcohol or cigarettes. I use sugar. I must admit I am a sugar addict. This is not code for anything. I love sweets. They are one of my weaknesses. I am very particular about what I eat though. I don’t just eat any old candy.

My favorite type of candy has to be gummis. I’ve been in love with that kind of candy since I was little. That was back during the gummi craze of the 80s. I don’t know if I could ever go vegan they can’t eat gummis because they contain cow’s foot. That’s what makes them gel like with gelatin. If I do ever become vegan I’m taking up smoking along with it. I don’t know if I have a favorite type/kind of gummi. I like peach rings, white gummi bears, pink watermelon flavored bears, cola bottles, hamburgers, pizza, hot dogs, and a lot more I can’t even think of.

It’s not all about the gummis for me. I also like chocolate. I bet if somebody made me a candy line up that wasn’t rigged with only Twix bars I bet I could distinguish them. As long as they didn’t put any kind of foreign candy I didn’t recognize. I love milk chocolate. I don’t really like white or dark. They have to be with the right flavor combinations. For example I love those white chocolate cookies and cream bar. I like dark chocolate with some kind of filling like in a Mounds bar.

I love hard candy too. You know like lollypops and stuff like that. If my mind wasn’t so warped by tv as a child. I can still recall the ring pop jingle from the 80s.
♪♫“It‘s a juicy jewel of flavor. Ring Pop! It‘s a lollypop without a stick!”♪♫
Come on everybody sing along! Don’t forget other candies like Blow Pops, Push Pops, and Tootsie Pops, Werther‘s Originals.

Let’s not forget caramel I love Royals, caramel apples, Kraft caramels, and of course caramel filled chocolates. Royals are so hard to find now. I liked the vanilla and orange ones. Who am I kidding? I like all the verities.

Oh yeah I almost forgot I have a great line for an anti drug PSA. “The only thing I smoke is meat”. Then there should be a shot of a kid in a smoke house with different types of meat.

Mystery Dolls

I found these clippings from old Toys R Us circulars from the 90s. (I think the mid to late 90s)

This angel doll looks familiar, but I’m drawing a blank on the name.

The doll with the hat. Her hat had hair a bunch of hair accessories in it. I remember in the commercial the hat would be pulled off the doll and a bunch of hair accessories would fall out of the hat.

Does anybody have any idea who these dolls are?
