Emma Would Eat That

It seems my family can't agree on what to eat during the Super Bowl. I suggested peanut butter and jelly sandwiches because they fit in the theme of Glee since Emma eats those. Then I thought of 2 other things to make grilled cheese sandwiches (preferably with a religious figure on them). I could also serve Cheerios cereal, but I don't like the plain kind. I like the honey nut ones. That really sounds like a menu for a preschooler or something. I can have wine coolers too Puck got Quinn drunk on those (mentioned in Preggers)

I don't want to make anything too hard since I'm a bad cook.
I was also trying to go with some food that had to do with the different cities playing. I had lots of ideas for Green Bay, but I could not come up with a food for Pittsburgh. I was thinking cheese steak, but then I remembered that is Philly. I have a good idea for some neutral treats serve yellow colored things like candies, cookies and cupcakes. Both teams wear yellow.

Creative Writing in 2006

After I thought about it I already took a creative writing class at another school with another teacher. This was back in 2006.

That teacher was doofy and dressed monochromatic. There are a few blogs that mention being in her writing class in the archives.
Week in Review
Week in review (a long entry full of OC references, you've been warned)
Wearing a tie makes you look like a banker (week in review)
Bad potery rulz! (week in review)
She also has a bad rating on the ratemyprofessor website.

I think I'll post other ones in the archives.

My ankle pain is really getting to me. I've been having some really strange dreams.

Keep the Group Intact Now

Today is the 25th anniversary of the Challenger disaster. I can't really remember it since I was 2 years and 18 days old. A lot of people get mad because I don't. Which is funny since this anniversary made me think of an assignment from my old memoir class where we had to write about a world event that happened at least 10 years ago and where we were. Back then it was only 9 years since September 11th and I couldn't think of anything. I ended up writing about the Gulf War. I mentioned it in a blog. (I was thinking about this before I checked my inbox and read the email)

I got the email. I knew it would happen! It was just "when" than "if". All it says is that class registration has started, and the class is filling up. She would like to see us there. I still hope some people dropped the fantasy of keeping that particular group intact. After I thought about it somebody moved to Las Vegas. They can start a new cult providing the popular guy comes back. I'm still up for that offer if somebody wants to pay to get me back in the group they are welcome to.

I'd really like to go back to school for the spring semester, but I don't want to dawdle in memoir, creative writing, or journal. I just took memoir to get a class. If I do go back in the spring I need to take core classes; the few I need. Like that could happen. I'd probably get some bad class because all the good ones are taken.

Why is the semester starting so late? I hate getting out in June. I feel like I'm still in primary school.

Vague and Inane

Tony is the first of the band members in No Doubt to have a girl baby. Coco? Conan you've got some competition. ;P Congrats to Tony and his family.

I can believe my dad thought my ankle would be healed already. I hurt it yesterday. Nothing is quick enough for my dad.

After thinking about what my friend told me yesterday, and how he thought I moved out of state even though I moved about 5 miles away. It came back to me after doing some research. It was my birthday, and birthdays always make me act a little weird. I remember reading his blog and it was so sad. I was feeling emotional and nostalgic because it was my 25th birthday. As I was reading his blog I was listening to the album "Bleed Like Me". I think I might have been a sugar high. That affects my writing. I sent him some vague/inane message on facebook. I wanted to quote his blog and I usually ask permission when I do that if the blog belongs to somebody I know in case the person wants a link or something.

I didn't really talk to him again until I thought I offended him by mentioning him in a blog reviewing the episode Today is the Day (part 1).

In The Office Andy's business seminar was really bad. Most of what he said can be learned in a basic business class. He is a horrible closer. He should have done a summary close or impending event. He did a mixture of closes. A salesperson should never threaten in a close.

Golden State of Mind

The alternate title was "Kickin' it in California". I might use that in the future. I'll leave that in the blog for future reference.

I ran into my friend today on the bus. It was strange because I was just talking about him on Saturday. He thought I moved out of state. I never left the state. I have done a good job on laying low like I wanted to. I can't just "appear" if I could I'd had magical powers or something. I guess my classes last semester didn't coincide with his. I would have liked to tell him about all those people in my memoir class. He did confirm that the anime he recommended was The Meloncoly of Haruhi Suzumiya. He asked about facebook. I really like to keep a low profile on there. I told him about how I don't want to be bombarded with reunion requests/invites. I have lamented about this situation in this blog. I think about 6 times. I did bump up me not going to my reunion to 95%. After thinking about it maybe I should raise it to 98%. He said he is not going.

It was like that time I was a freshman in high school and I had bronchitis. I was out for a week, and I don't know how it started. Somebody started a rumor that I had moved away.

I should take some advice from Hana and not deny or run from my past. Like she did in the J-drama I watched.

As I was walking to the bus stop I tripped on some gnarled tree roots and I turned my ankle. I limped to the bus stop it was about 14 feet away. I could make it. The thing I was most worried about was how my dad would react to it. My ankles are weak. I've turned them at least 7 times since I was 10. Never broke them though. It could be a culmination of old age, weight and weak ankles.

Shirley, my friend and I were all thinking about the same thing. Freaky! Or maybe it is great minds thinking alike?

After I thought about it I think I have the best 3 people in my mind to organize a 10 year high school reunion.

I noticed KTLA added a watermark to their Antenna TV subchannel.

I finished watching Prime Suspect, so I have much better note in case I need them. I have a really strong feeling I do.

Keroppi and Horsea

I went to school because I had an appointment. According to what I was told there. It's going to be harder than I thought. I guess bad grades really do follow you around. Luckily all I have to do is write a smoozy letter to admissions. Keep the My Little Ponies away from me. The strange thing is that the 2 different schools they told me 2 different things. I wonder why there is such a discrepancy between community colleges? I just want to make sure everything is in order before I go back to school. I have a sneaking suspicion that my dad is going to try and do something. I'm not admissions so I can't change anything no matter how many fits he throws. Like all the ones he did last year.

After I came back from the school I went to the dollar store. There were some funny things. I really l like this Keroppi knock off cup.
It almost tricked me until I noticed there were no Sanrio licensing marks. Then I noticed Keroppi and horsea. Who knew Keroppi hung out with Pokemon? Nemo hangs around with sudowoodo.

The toy section is always fun. Why does the table say "likable" on it? Why is there some random anime girl in the mirror? This baby cradle says "loveliness baby" on it.
Here are some erasers I love the motto on the packaging.

Pigtails and Braids

I found a mistake in American Dad episode "Stanny Boy and Frantastic" Punky didn't get trapped in the fridge it was Cherie. I guess the manatees messed up. A better; more obscure reference would have been to make some kind of mention of Glomer from the Punky cartoon.

Todd Grisham provided commentary for a dog show I watched. It was so horrible! Its dogs not wrestling.

My J-drama ended today. I really like that it was a short series and I only invested 11 weeks into watching it. The program was 10 episodes, but the first episode was broken up into 2 parts. I found it very relatable.

Poster Girl (includes cynicism Conan do not read)

I hate when people make a big deal when Freda Flunky gets an A in remedial math, but if somebody who is smarter gets a lower grade in harder class its shame on them! Shame! Shame! Wag the finger at them and then do the shame signal with the 2 fingers. That irks me SO much! Why is it so bad when somebody does something hard and fails or doesn't do as good of a job as something easy?

I was thinking am I the worst off from my graduation class from high school? Of the people who graduated and are still alive. Am I the poster girl for failure? Can my former teachers make an example of me? All the horrible things they said were going to happen like getting a crappy factory job? That really wouldn't be applicable anymore since there are really no factory jobs in the US anymore. There were not many 10 years ago, but there are less now. Maybe they were right all along. It's ok to do this if the person is an orphan from Michigan.

Why do people act like this everybody fails at something. No person is good at everything. Everybody has a weakness.

Compressed Air

I said a banned phrase from the list. Damn! And I was doing so well. I'm not going to repeat the phrase. I'm very upset with myself.

After hearing of Regis' departure. The one person I would not want to replace him would be Seacrest. Those are big shoes to fill like Bob Barker's were.

There is also a ban on saying "Super Bowl" or the NFL will you. Unless said person, company or origination is authorized to. Oh! I just said it! I hope the NFL doesn't sue me. *panics*

After all those shootings in the news it made me think of the wave all those computer cleaner deaths about 13 years ago. To this day I'm still afraid of compressed air.

Outdated ID

I had to go to my old college and get somethings straightened out. The unorigination at the school is what made me want to leave besides that deranged reporter teacher.

Going back there after 5 year it looks so different. I was hoping not to run into my former deranged reporter teacher, and have something bad happen to me like she throws a newspaper at me.

The ID I had was made of wood and had a carving of me on it. Ok not really. But it was so old the worker at the desk didn't recognize it because it didn't have a school ID number on it. It's legit. Old, but legit.

Some things never change there is still that "cell phone" accessories tent in the quad. Now it sells skins instead of face plates.

On my way home I noticed most of those tax job are most likely filled. It's a good little gig though a person can work for about 3 months.

I tried some Nong Shim Beef and Ginger flavor bowl ramen and it was pretty hot.

Paldo King Cup Lobster

paldo ramen I tried this flavor. I had wanted to for a long time. It's kind of spicy. There is seaweed in it and some dehydrated something. I think it might be fish. Has sort of a tomato-y taste.

Average Horoscope

Since everybody is saying they are the shifted signs. Although they have been shifted for a while. Since I changed signs from Capricorn to Sagittarius. I decided I'd read both horoscopes and average them out.

EDIT: (I forgot to add this paragraph)

This is not the first time I got my horoscope wrong. For many years I thought I was born in the year of the rat. The problem is that people generalize even some Chinese people.

This is the way a conversation would go:

Person: I can tell you your Chinese zodiac animal.

Me: Ok.

Person: What year were you born in?

Me: 1984.

Person: You are definitely a rat.

The problem is that the person just made a generalization, and did not try and see if the person was born before the Chinese new year of that year. Chinese New Year does not start on the first of January like the Gregorian one does. My blog listing is correct I am a pig.

My dad thinks he is a dragon, but he is really a rabbit. Oh! It's his year!

Father Opposite

I decided that most of the advice that my dad gives me is so wrong. I decided I'd do the opposite of the advice he gives.

Journey to Adulthood

I'm still very worried about dressing like an adult. I don't want to be one of those women who dress badly and get laughed at behind their backs. Maybe that is already happening by the way I dress now.

I'm getting rid of all my nerd culture clothes.

Over the years I've been a bad dresser ever since I can remember. Maybe when I was a baby I didn't dress badly. I went through many phases. Punky Brewster: pigtails and vests, Pacifier: I constantly wore one of those pink plastic pacifiers on a necklace, Kimberly the Pink Ranger: I wore pink clothes and brown boots, I wanted to dress like Gwen in this picture:
Here is an excerpt from a story I was working on for my memoir class that I didn't finish. It was about the way I dressed and other stylish girls in my grade.

"As a kid I hated the way I dressed. For a lot of years I dressed too childish. By third grade I had grown out of those frilly dresses with the matching white tights and white patent leather Mary Jane shoes. When I started school there because of the year round schedule it was still summer, so I had to get new summer clothes for school. My clothes were usually basic, but coordinated; whatever Sears had to offer in kids clothes. I couldn’t wait until I could wear the cool clothes in the juniors section. Those were the cool clothes the teenagers wore. I had all these wild printed shorts and coordinating tank tops. Some of the pairs of shorts were made to look like boxer shorts; they had a faux fly. The shorts were very garish with bright neon colors. One pair had fuchsia palm trees printed on them with a sunset scene"

I think my style guides will be the fictional characters Blair Waldorf and Emma Pillsbury. I love the way they dress, so polished.

Colored Pens

I had to buy some more colored pens since a lot of the ones I had dried up. I don't want to waste my money on buying too many pens. I bought 2 different bowl ramen flavors to try.

I noticed that there are not a lot of people who are hiring for tax preparation places this year. The kind of jobs where sign twirlers and people dressed in Uncle Sam or Statue of Liberty costumes are in front of the store.

When I went to Jack in the Box and they were hiring. Good thing it was a general application and not for anything specific. Usually there is some trick to it and they are only hiring managers or something.

Superficial Lies

I don't understand why people say appearances are not important. Yet when somebody is dressed in a gangster outfit most people assume that person is a gangster. This is one of the reasons why I want to dress like an adult. Trade my jeans and novelty tees in for some smart looking blouses, slacks and sensible skirts. (no hoochie wear) That is what I've been taught all my life appearance is everything and that first impressions count.

The thing I don't understand is why teach children appearance is not important when it is not true? I mean clothing wise.

I feel like Miss BG who thought she was mature when she stopped wearing scruchies, and she started talking with a deep voice.

If I live to see 20 years from now I will have to dress properly with giant bold scarves, necklaces, and chokers.

Go Shorty

I went to eat at the Home Town Buffet. There was some nasty pasta there. I don't like baked macaroni; I'm babyish like that. My dad wanted me to try some nasty looking pasta Florentine. It made school cafeteria pasta look good. There was also some really good ham, popcorn shrimp and Teriyaki chicken.

During the low carb craze when everybody was giving up pasta I was cool with it I really don't like pasta, but I like noodles.

The birthday loot:
new headphones
a Glee calender
a Pinky and the Brain shirt (I ♥ Pinky! Narf!)

The thing I'm wondering about the Glee calendar is why put Terri in it? That was a real stretch for a character to add. Terri was written out of the show in Mattress. She does pop up occasionally like in Funk and Britney/Brittany. But Britney/Brittany is from season 2. I think the calendar covers the first half of season 1. Too bad it doesn't have that "whole lot of middle" quote in it from the episode Journey. Why not add Santana, Brittany, or even Ken instead of Terri? Brittany has the best quotes. She is confused by recipes. It's funny because my mom always says that March has a bad picture. Finn is the character for March. I think Finn is not a bad choice unless a person is not a Finn fan. It's better than Terri.

Birthday Weekend?

My dad told me I should celebrate my birthday weekend. Huh? Who am I Lincoln?

I saw that Bob's Burgers show. It's ok. I didn't really laugh much when I saw it. I think the funniest part to me was when the girl mistook the health inspector for some kind of doctor. I'm unsure if I'll watch it next week.

Chipped and Plummeted

I can't believe my maneki neko charm is chipped already! It is made of a ceramic type material.

KCET's ratings have plummeted the only things I've watched on that station were; Prime Suspect, Lidsville, H. R. Pufnstuf, Cook's Country, and The Write Environment the episode I saw was about Joss Whedon.

I watched Wubblous World, and Anne of Green Gables on their kid's channel. Their kids' channel really fills the void that KLCS's kids' leaves when it goes off the air from 1AM-6AM.

Late Night Folly

Way before the whole Jay and Conan thing NBC messed up in the Late Night realm by creating the show Late Friday. Does anybody remember it? Or not want to remember it? That was a train wreck of a show. The thing I remember about it was that it wasn't very funny, and that I hated the fact that it replaced Friday Night.

I went back to this store that sold plush Sailor Moon dolls to see if I still wanted one. I'm still trying to do a possession purge. I saw the dolls in October when I was shopping for my Halloween mask. There were also some wrong colored sailor moon cats. They were in colors like pink and green. I couldn't see if the cats had licensing marks because they were on a high shelf. I know the Sailor Moon doll has licensing marks because I checked the doll back when I saw it in October. After I saw the dolls and the cats I decided they would not fit into my life at the moment.

I did get something at that store. I found a maneki neko charm. It was $3.50.

There was some strange Glee merchandise. Glee socks? I am still not satisfied with the Glee diaries/note books I want to make my own glee diary/note book, and put the characters I want on it. I was thinking about BINKY the band from Arthur. They had strange merchandise like a bread maker, frozen turnips and a wheelbarrow. I'd eat Glee brand vegetables; especially peppers. I wouldn't buy a Glee bread maker, but I would buy a Glee slushy maker.

At Claire's I was looking at the Christmas discount section. I thought there is nothing wrong with buying discounted Christmas accessories. There was really nothing I wanted until I saw some nail polish that was originally $5 slashed to $1! I figured that even though they are Christmas colors (red & green) I could use them for something else. Nail polish is one of my favorite cosmetics. Personally I would not have paid full price for these.

Puck's hair bothers my dad; because he tells me people didn't wear their hair like that back then. WHUT? LOL! Puck is a fictional character!

The nail polish was ok. After I put it on it wore off. It's just a glittery tinted topcoat. I think it would look good over black nail polish.

Ed, Wibur, Finn and Puck

This is the 50 year anniversary of the tv series Mister Ed! It premiered on January 5th 1961. Shout out to Alan Young!

My dad needed to return a big shirt that my grandma gave him. He needed an "official looking" shopping bag. He wanted a Penny's bag because he was returning it to that store.

What is up with the Glee merchandise? Almost all the note books they had had either a picture of Finn or Puck on them. Hudsman I was going to use their first names, but if Finn and Puck are put together they make a curse word. There are also generic ones that say "Glee" on them. I have a great idea for a note book cover design. A Rachel one with a picture of Rachel on it and gold stars since those are her thing.

When I went to Justice (formerly Limited Too) they were trying to sell me webkins. They told me they are the "new" neopets. I hate when people tell me something is the new something.

No luck on finding a Maneki Neko phone charm.

Started watching Prime Suspect. I was taking notes on it because the last time I watched it I took bad notes. I never know when that will come in handy. I don't know what happened to my old notes. My mom thought I was only good at talking notes on shows I like. According to the description it's only 4 parts. I don't know why, but when I watched it in school it felt like it was 5 or 6 parts. Taking notes on videos/DVDs/tv shows is one of the skills I'm good at since I've been a student for so long. (thank you 10th grade world history teacher)

No Lemon Please!

I specifically told my dad not to trade me lemon infused shrimp for one of my "plain" scallops. It's more like doused in lemon juice. There is so much lemon juice on that shrimp I can't even taste the shrimp flavor. Isn't that the whole point of eating the shrimp? I know he has no taste, but why do I have to suffer? He shouldn't eat scallops. He "claimed" he hates them. According to him back when he was a bachelor he ate some bad ones and "hates" them.

Let's Think of Something to do While we're Waiting

Yesterday night I watched a tv show about some students going to a hot springs resort and then I had a dream about it.

I filled out my financial aid forms. I have to wait about 3 days until they are processed. I'm not going to tell my dad anything until I know what's going on; because he thinks the projected amount is the amount I get. Doesn't he know the difference? That happened to me last year.

After thinking about having to wait 3 days I thought about this song Mr. Rogers would sing when he was waiting for something. After I thought about the song it made me miss Mr. Rogers. :(

Burnt Ham

I watched H R Pufnstuf and Lidsville out of curiosity. Those shows are trippy. For the record I watched those shows completely sober.

I'm fretting again because I'll be turning 27 soon. I still want to find out the secret to looking and dressing mature. I think it involves having money to buy the grown up clothes and hair styles. If I do find the secret I'll post it here. It's good to share.

I want to try and be smart again; even if I think my intelligence does more bad than good. I'm thinking about picking up a copy of one of those Brain Age games.

I was thinking about something that happened 10 years ago. It was when I had to visit my grandma and it was New Years Eve 2000. I was really upset because I wanted to nap all day to stay up for New Years. It was boring and I played Pokémon. She made weird food; then she tricked my family into staying longer by cooking a ham for dinner. The thing was so badly burned it tasted like jerky. She got mad at me because I wanted to eat a pudding cup instead.

New Year; New Channel & a dog Wearing Pants

I sort of made a resolution. The thing I want to resolve just happened to happen around this time. Pure coincidence.

Too bad UTB 18.2 isn’t showing asadora dramas anymore. I couldn’t really get into Hitomi. I really wanted to watch Tsubasa and Welkame.

I was looking for some maneki neko cell phone charms online. They seem overpriced. Maybe I’ll go look at the mall. I don’t want to sound racist here, but at a store that sells Asian things.

Here is a funny picture I took of my pikachu with a frame that came in the phone. Pikachu, let's beer!

I’m planning a Halloween costume even though the year is young. I was thinking Superdome, but how would I build that? When it is Halloween 2011 it will already be next year’s football season. Which might be locked out.

I’m really only worried about ending up on a bad costume website. That would be so horrible.

I don’t know why, but this dog costume is bothering me. Why is it wearing pants?

Remember when everybody was excited for 1-1-01?

The parade was bothering me because the commentators kept mispronouncing the word "nori"

Busytown Mysteries is on 3 OTA stations now in LA, KCBS (part of the Saturday Morning Cookie Jar Block), This-TV(part of their This is for Kids e/i block), and on KCET.

Wubblous World isn't so bad even if I was half asleep watching it. Anne of Green Gables is the old series KCET use to show when they were a PBS station from about 10-8 years ago. I wish they would show Jakers the Adventures of Piggley Winks, or some kidmango shows, Bookmice, or Return to the Magic Library.
