Just kidding about the Twitter I have an announcement! I caved in and made a Twitter a week ago. When I first joined my account was all messed up. I posted an inane comment to Jimmy Fallon and it looked like somebody else posted it. I mostly use it to write inane messages. I don’t tweet much though. I think it’s a fun way to leave inane messages and comments to celebrities who use it. But nothing beats leaving inane comments for Shirley Manson on facebook.

http://twitter.com/pikapal
That’s my page. I wanted to get the URL with pikapal in it before it was taken up.

Oh yeah and if any of the links are broken just tell me so I can try and fix them.

Twitter Can’t Hold Me

I’ve been thinking about making a Twitter account. I don’t know if it is really necessary. Since I can only convey my message in 140 characters or less. If you know me you know I like writing long winded things. Plus does anybody really want to know I ate a cookie or something like that? I could just write all those inane things in one giant condensed blog instead of a bunch of little Twitter messages. Perhaps I don’t “get” Twitter and that makes me “old”. I’m willing to admit I’m not up on the trends and I’m “old”. I can be like Ursula from Dinosaur King. Her characters is so similar to Jesse from Pokemon. She is even voiced by Rachel Lillis. They get so mad when people call them old.

Only Happy when it Leaks in a Bucket

I can't think of a good title. If I think of a better one I will change it.

It was so funny when Shirley was a guest on Ferguson. I like when she is a guest because they talk about Scottish things. I don’t know why I thought it was funny when she yelled from backstage before she was introduced. Too bad I couldn't go to the taping. :(

She was great on the show and her hair looked awesome! I like the part when Craig was taking about the leak in the studio and he didn't get the reference Shirley was making. When she started talking about haggis it reminded me of the first time she was ever on the Late Late show back when Kilbourne hosted it and they talked about haggis.

As I was watching this I ate half a box of Almond Crush Pocky. Nothing says Scots like Pocky! J/K Pocky is from Japan.

She looked so pretty and her hair looked great. It looked more orangey than brassy. I love the cut she has. She looks good with bobs. I liked the shirt she was wearing with the picture of a cat on it.

I really had no idea what she was promoting on the show. I was hoping it was music related and that she would talk about how her solo album is coming along. She was there promoting Famous Scots genealogy exhibition. According to this article she is also of Scandinavian decent.

She said she is unemployed as a musician and as an actress. Does this mean that The Sarah Connor Chronicles is cancelled? I’m not sure, but I’m waiting for an official announcement from Fox next month when they announce their fall schedule. I thought it was funny when she said there was no musical guest on the show. I was really hoping she would do some double duty and sing and be interviewed.

I thought it was funny when she told him to play a Garbage song when it rains and he didn’t get the hint. I’d say even your average Garbage would get that reference.

I thought it was funny when Breckin said that when he saw Shirley he gasped. I did that too. It didn't make me feel so bad for doing that when I saw her. I usually act weird around celebrities. When I met John Cena I was pointing at him . When I saw Shirley I was gawking at her with an open mouth. That ‘s real classy.

Later when I checked how the show came out after I taped it the sound was all messed up. :( Well at least it taped.

Garbage song that describes how I feel today “Silence is Golden”.

Onions!

A lot of people think I don’t like onions. I do. I just don’t like raw onions. My favorite kind of onion is the green onion. I also like Mexican onions. They look like green onions except they have a wider rounder bulb on the bottom. I would like to try leeks and scallions. The leek goes well with a farfetch'd.

Here are some things I like onions on/in:
Ramen
Pizza
Quesdillas
Soups
Dip
Spreads
Stews
Omelets
Stir Fry
Chicken Salad (in moderation)
Potato Salad (in moderation)
Macaroni Salad (in moderation)
Onion rings
Funyuns

I hate onions in any form except for ring form in my hamburgers. I don’t like a lot of different things in my hamburgers. Besides onions I don’t like; avocado, pickles, tomatoes, mushrooms, and hot sauce. These were all the things I could think of. There are probably more.

Here are some recipes for you:

Onion Omelet

I prefer to pan fry my omelets instead of baking them.

Ingredients:
1 egg
1-2 chopped green onions. (I use the green ones, but you can use any kind you want.)
A few drops of water
Oil (for frying)
You can also add other things like cheese, bacon, sausage, or peppers

First oil and heat your pan.

Then slice your onions

Add your sliced onions to the hot pan to caramelize

Cook the onions to your desired doneness

Add your other ingredients

Next add your egg. I like to add a little bit of water to it before I scrabble it. I heard that makes the egg fluffier than milk or cream will.

Let your egg cook for a little while then add your other fillings if you are adding them.

Cook omelet to your desired doneness.

Onion Quesidilla

I prefer to pan fry my quesidillas instead of baking or grilling them. I use a dry non stick pan with no oil, fat, or grease. That way they are a little crispy, but not too crispy. I hate when they get too soggy.

Ingredients:
2 tortillas
1-2 chopped green onions. (I use the green ones, but you can use any kind you want.)
Shredded cheese any kind you like
You can also add other things like salsa or chicken meat

First preheat your pan. You can let it preheat as long as you want for the desired doneness of your tortilla.

Then add your shredded cheese. I think the cheese should be added before the onions because when it melts the onions stick to the cheese better than if they were placed first on the tortilla.

After that add your onions I don’t precook my onions before adding them because I think they cook for enough time in the quesidilla. This is also the time when you can your other fillings.

Cook and flip until the cheese has melted or your desired doneness.

Not So Private Message

I’m usually not a vengeful bitchy person. If I was I would not care about certain things, or I would wish somebody will ill. I can be set in my ways though, and it is very hard to change.

I’m not going to spend a bunch of time cooped up in my room listening to “It‘s All Over But The Crying” (the Absolute Garbage remix) repeatedly.

Here is a play list I complied. I think I added more songs on to the hard copy I had on paper which I can’t find when I really need it. I added more songs to the one that I have in my hard drive. I think I added “Metal Heart”, but I can’t remember.

Here is a play list that I made a few months back. It can’t be put on the myspace play list because I listed too many songs.

“Breakfast At Tiffany‘s” - Deep Blue Something
“Stan” - Enimen
“Sailin‘ On” - No Doubt’s cover of it
“End it on This” - No Doubt
“Move On” - No Doubt
“Happy Now?” - No Doubt
“It‘s All Over But The Crying” - Garbage
“Never There” - Cake
“Private Helicopter” - Harvey Danger
“Sitting, Waiting Wishing” - Jack Johnson
“If I had Eyes” - Jack Johnson
“Little Things” - Bush

This and my cousin being disappointed about the new Lego Rock Band video game which coincidentally does not feature any Lego related songs so far. My suggestions are:
“Brick” by Ben Folds Five
“Thick as a Brick” by Jethro Tull
“Fell in Love with a Girl” by The White Stripes
My cousin suggested “Another Brick in the Wall” by Pink Floyd.

Then I thought about some of my fantasy Rock Band set lists. I have a fantasy Garbage and Hole one. I’m still compiling my No Doubt one which will include “Snakes“. Those will be posted in another blog.

First I was contemplating sending this person a message through their myspace which they made public again. I came across this by accident. I wasn’t “prowling” like I was on facebook. I was really thinking about it. I gave myself about a whole day to think about it. When I was about to send this person the message I thought “How would they take this? We haven‘t talked in over a year. This might seem creepy even though my intentions are good. What if this is taken the wrong way and seen a sarcasm?” Needless to say I never sent the message. I decided that I will just address the issue in my blog. So here is what I was going to say in the message. Like that person is reading my blog anyway.

“Good luck with your move to New York.”

When I wrote this I was thinking about the song "Cup of Coffee" a little.

Happy Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day everybody! You I didn’t even know what Earth Day was until I was in school. I think I learned about it in 1st grade. You know I didn’t even learn about it from tv. I know learning about holidays you don’t know about or celebrate on tv is a bad thing. Shame on me!

This is an Earth Day related blog. This happened 9 years ago in 2000. To my recollection this was the most fun I had on Earth Day. Ok what really happened wasn’t really Earth Day related.

I wanted to go to this concert. Some of my favorite bands were playing Save Ferris and Reel Big Fish which I had not seen live before. My dad told me he would take me and ended up taking me to a running shoe store first. He took a really long time in there looking at shoes.

When we finally get there we can’t find parking because he too so long at the shoe store. We almost missed Save Ferris.

They put on a good show. They played “Your Friend” which totally described a friend at the time. Eric was throwing candy and somebody threw a bottle at Monique.

After the show I got a Save Ferris shirt. The one with the panda on it. I had wanted it for about 2 years, but never got it. I saw this really cool Aquabats decorated car.

Then John Easdale came out (from Dramarama). It was really sad because a lot of people were booing him because they wanted to see Reel Big Fish. He sang ”What Are We Gonna Do?” and “Anything Anything”. He sang a few other songs I don’t remember. I think he sang about 5 songs. He didn’t sing the whole song it was more like a medley. When he sang “What Are We Gonna Do?” it made me think about how much I use to like that song as a 1st grader. I use to sing it all the time in the bathtub. The funny thing was after all those years I still remembered the chorus to that song.

The pit was big and aggressive; more aggressive than it was for Save Ferris. Aaron was wearing a Hawaiian shirt. I was sad they didn’t play “Trendy” that is one of my favorite songs. A compact and a nickel were thrown at Scott. When Aaron sang in the audience he said not to touch his hair. As I predicted they had Monique as their special guest since she was there before. She sang “She has a Girlfriend Now”.

After the show Aaron said he would be signing autographs. I was upset because I left my Reel Big Fish CDs in the car. I had to buy a sticker at the merchandise booth to have him sign. I met Dan and Aaron. They were both cool. Aaron shook my hand.

Springtime

It feels like spring now. It didn’t for a while and we are like a month into the season.

It was so hot I was wearing my hair in that hairstyle that I stole from Shirley; the one with the 2 braids coming out of the ponytail. I guess my hair has been getting really long; my mom noticed it. I haven’t cut it since like August or September.

Now since it’s warmer I’m thinking about a new haircut to get. You know I’m like Dwight from The Office and I can and do cut my own hair. It saves a lot of money. I like to cut my hair really short, but not to short I have to make odangos or pigtails with my hair if I need to. Not little ones either really big fat ones about the size of my fist. I need it to be long enough so that it I did do a bad job of cutting it I can hide it with some creative hairstyling. I haven’t decided if I’m going to copy Shirley’s hair again or not. Maybe I’ll copy an anime character’s hairstyle. My hair is acting funny again anyway. My overgrown bangs grew much longer on one side and this is really noticeable when I part my hair down the middle. My hair is also uneven in length. The left side is a lot shorter than the right side.

For some reason my hair looks red again. I don’t know why. I feel like I have doll hair. Like from those old dolls from the 80s and 90s that had hair that changed color in the sun. I know this was a selling point of certain Barbies and My Little Ponies. It’s red in the sunlight, but purple in other light. Strange.

I bought some nail polish today on clearance. It was only 70 cents. When I saw it I thought about Shirley. I usually don’t wear blue nail polish. I don’t really like the color blue. I should have picked up some matching blue eye shadow while I was thinking about it. I was looking for lavender nail polish.

Also now that it is warmer I can walk to that sushi restaurant that is like a block away. The sushi looks good there. I’m not a sushi freak, but I like that one with the prawn on it. What’s the name of that one? They use to send menus to my old house, and the pictures of the food looked good. I better buy some grapefruit seed extract before I eat some sushi.

Reunion

I thought it was fitting to post this blog since I wrote about the elementary school reunion in my previous posting. Actually this has a few companion blogs that needed to be posted along with it. But I’ll just post this one for now.

If you would’ve asked me 5 years ago I would have said I was definitely going to my high school reunion. If you would have asked me 3 years I would have said probably. If you ask me now I say I won’t.

Who do I think is going to be the most successful? Me? J/K :P I don’t know really probably one of the smart kids who graduated college and did well high school. That description obviously isn’t me. I’m not saying that is the formula for success. There are plenty of successful people who didn’t go to or finish college.

Of course this is only the 10 year reunion in 2012. I might change my mind by the time the 2022 reunion rolls around. I might even be dead. Not that I want to be. Everybody knows the 10 year reunion is the one where you gloat about your life. I guess I’m just too afraid or too intimidated to go because my life isn’t what I thought or hoped it would be. I wouldn’t want a repeat of what happened to me in high school, and show up to a reunion just to get made fun of. I can just assure everybody who knows me and or reads this blog that I won’t end up like this guy I read about. For some reason I can’t find the story I read about him.

Anyway here’s the story this guy wants to impress his former high school classmates at his reunion, so he rents a fancy car to take there. I think he’s also trying to impress a former girlfriend or something. He pretends to look successful until his cover is blown. He was really a failed P.E. teacher and somebody at the reunion recognized him because their kid had his class. I think there is more to this story, but I’m just telling it from memory. That story is funny and sad.

Or I hope I don’t end up like Dr. Frasier Crane in “Frasier’s Curse”. In this episode Frasier’s high school reunion is coming up. He thinks he has a curse because he is unemployed and he has a terrible job interview. To take his mind off the interview he starts to clean the oven. Later he goes to return some dog food to the store that his dad bought for Eddie. He is still wearing the dingy clothes he was cleaning in. Then he sees a man who threw away cans that can be recycled, so he digs them out of the trash. He runs into a former classmate who thinks he is homeless. When Frasier does eventually show up to the reunion his classmates think he is delusional and shun him.

Too bad my life can’t be like a movie or something and I end up becoming rich overnight. I mean really rich not like Cinderella or anything. Although that would be nice too.

I think the high school reunion takes a whole different turn now with the internet and sites like myspace, facebook and classmates. People can know what you are up to or what you want them to think you are up to.

Elementary School Reunion

I came across something very interesting while I was prowling (is “prowling” a good word?) facebook a few days ago. On somebody’s wall another person posted an invite for an elementary school reunion. Ok I’m just going to come out with it and say this; if you know me personally and know who I’m talking about in this blog though I’m not mentioning names. I don’t really care if they know I mentioned them. Anyway this seems like a good idea on paper or on a virtual wall I guess… I’m not really sure it wasn’t my proposed idea/meet up.

Is it just me or are we jumping the gun here? The person who is posting, and I guess organizing this is from my class/year. You know our high school reunion will be in about 3 short years in 2012. I will give this person credit since she is born in the year of the boar. People born in the year of the boar are good at organizing stuff. (I‘ve been reading up on the Chinese zodiac lately)

This is the kind of stuff I was talking about in that massive blog I was writing that got really frustrated with. Maybe I should just clean it up a little and post it.

Anyway I just want to say that I’m not going for a multitude of reasons. First off I transferred to that school when I was in 5th grade so I didn’t really grow up with those people. I mean sure I did in high school a little, but high school was so much bigger. Also that was the elementary school I was bullied at. I mean I was bullied to the point where I was not really eating. I don’t really talk about that because I try to put that behind me and, it’s really painful to just think about it. *takes deep breath* Why would I want to reunite with bullies? Am I sadistic? I don’t know why, but for some reason it just feels good to be out of the loop. You know I wouldn’t even consider going if I still lived at my old house.

Then I was back into my old ways again I was a playing up all these scenarios in my head like who would show up, and how many people would come. It was just a little thought I was kicking around in my head. I’m not obsessing over it or anything.

Go Tigers!

Let’s just fill up the rest of this blog with trite song lyrics:
“There I go jumping before the gunshot has gone off
Slap me with a splintered ruler ”
“Try to comprehend that which you‘ll never comprehend”
“You should see my scars”
“I’m a loser baby so why don’t you kill me”
"
I'm only happy when it rains"

Born to Run Episode Review

This was a good finale. It provided closure; yet left you hungry for a 3rd season if there is one. Not like the cliffhanger ending SAT AM Sonic the Hedgehog left me. Yes, I’m still mad about that and that was back in the 90s.

I don’t know I thought it was funny when John Henry kept rolling a 20.

I guess the phrase “Will you join us?” must be code between the Terminators or something. I think what a lot of the other fans think and that was Weaver who got loose on the Jimmy Carter.

The priest came back from the church Sarah and John got refuge in from Samson and Delilah. I thought it was funny when Sarah told the priest to pray about the story about the locks and he says Peter.

I didn’t notice that my tape stopped taping for whatever reason. At about the halfway point of the show. I guess I was so into the show I didn’t notice it. When I finally did it was the ending when John and Weaver had time traveled. I know I live in like 2002 technology wise. So anything I write about past the part when they get the passports from the chola I’m writing from memory and internet postings/summaries written by other people.

I feel I got cheated because the Terminator vs. Terminator action was between Weaver and that water delivery guy. I wanted to see her meet up with Cameron; even if they didn’t fight.

I have to say one of my favorite parts was when Weaver protected Ellison, John and Sarah and made herself into a shield. That has to be one of my favorite Weaver scenes in the whole season aside from the toilet one, cow’s blood and the cold lap. The eel is part of herself. It escaped after the tank broke because of the air attack. I guess she kept in the tank as an eel incase something happened to the rest of her?

I did love the metal bitch line. So Weaver was a rouge Terminator after all. Shirley’s badassneess just exudes out of her. (Ok I know badassness is not a word) :P

I have to question why did John agree to go with Weaver? He barely knew her. Was it because he wanted to get Cameron’s chip? It was impulsive.

Here’s my mom’s take on the last scene of the episode (remember she has no knowledge of Terminator mythos of anything) She thinks that John Connor and Catharine Weaver died and went to hell. That’s why he saw Derek, Kyle and Alison.

The ending made me think about poor little Savannah. What is going to happen to her now that her mother is gone? Her real and fake mother. Maybe Ellison will take care of her now, or even Sarah.

Poor John when he went into the future and he thought he saw Cameron, until he realized how she was interacting with the dog and realized that’s somebody else; Alison Young.

I also wondered what happened to Weaver after she traveled to the future with John. After she put on the coat she just disappeared or something. Some people think she turned into the dog, but I don’t think so. Maybe she turned into something else in the background.

Be back tomorrow for a rant blog that is not Terminator related.

Easter

This Easter I don’t know I was just feeling nostalgic. I was thinking about the old glitter eggs egg dying kit commercial they use to show on tv a lot back in the 80s. For some reason it isn’t on youtube. I was also thinking about the classic Cadbury egg commercial with the auditions.

Yesterday when my mom was dying eggs the set came with some stamp markers and I don’t know why I went crazy for them. I can just be so childish sometimes. She dyes eggs for my dad. I don’t like dyed eggs. I really don’t see the point of them anymore. I haven’t since they don’t have anything inside them like the plastic ones could.

I got a Blondie CD as a present. It made me think about how much I like them and how I listened to them before I started listening to No Doubt and Garbage. Some of those songs are just so badass like “One Way or Another” and “Rip Her to Shreds”. You know what’s kind funny? Back when I first got into Blondie at like the age of 8 my “hip” cousins on my dad’s side didn’t know who they were. Maybe I’ll write an album review. I don’t know I haven’t decided yet.

Even though I'm still sick I ate a lot of ham. :P

Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles Soundtrack Review

First off I want to say that I’m am not familiar with Bear McCeary’s other soundtrack work. I heard he did the one for Battlestar Galtica. I have never listened to a Sci-fi soundtrack before; ever. I didn’t really know what to expect.

To be honest I can’t write a review of it since I didn’t listen to the whole thing. The music got boring and repetitive for me. Almost all the songs on there that I listened to sounded the same. With the exceptions of Shirley’s cover of “Samson and Delilah”, “Ain't We Famous", and "Atomic Al's Merry Melody". I couldn’t really distinguish where one song ended and the other began.

Let’s just say I love her version of “Samson and Delilah” I thought the song was very powerful when it was used in the fight scene. When I first saw the episode it was in which is also called “Samson and Delilah”. I was enjoying the song more than the fight scene. What can I say? It was new material from Shirley, and I was eating it up. After I rewatched the episode a few times I realized how powerful the song is in that scene.

“Ain‘t We Famous” reminds me of old 90s pop rock. The kind of stuff I grew up listening to. Like some from like 94 or 95. It has a little bit of a country feel to it too. I don’t remember it playing in “Automatic for the People”, but I didn’t like that episode much. I was still trying to get into the show. I think it played in the bar scene, but I’m not sure.

"Atomic Al's Merry Melody" is cute and fun. A lot of people say it has a Looney Tunes feel to it. I think there is a little bit of MGM era Tom and Jerry in there too.

Here's an extra for you. You can read my first review blog of the 1st episode of the 2nd season. I didn't write much, but I did use a creative title. You know I didn't even mention the song, but for some reason I did in my paper writings.

I want some cheese!

I'm still sick and I'm upset. I think I have cold or something. It upsets me because I hardly get sick and because I can't eat cheese. I was also upset that I couldn't eat the special treat I bought for the Terminator finale; Almond Crush Pocky. Oh Well, I'll eat it eventually. Plus I want to utilize the box for a craft I'm going to make. For some reason I collected a lot of blog material this past week. My episode review will be up shortly.

Adam Raised a Cain Episode Review

I know this review is late, but I got sick. I got a sore throat or something, so I can be really whiney about it. Just think tomorrow is the season/series finale. I wrote that because the fate of the show is till uncertain.

This was a great episode and worth missing a preseason baseball game for. It was so good I mindlessly ate half a bag of Happy Cola gummis. Ok ok, so I was wrong John Henry didn’t die, but somebody did. More on that later.

At the beginning of the episode Derek, Sarah, Cameron and John are at the
Cemetery at Charley’s grave. They find a phone with Savannah’s picture in it. John tells everybody that he remembers that girl when she was a patient of Dr. Sherman.

At school Savannah was IMing John Henry during class. The teacher thinks she is talking to somebody “bad”.

I have to say my favorite part was when Savannah told her mom she can’t sing. Maybe Shirley listened to me when I asked if there were going to be more references to her and her music in the show. J/K I’m just kidding myself right? Even my mom laughed at that part and she’s no Darkling. I think it would have been funny if somebody was listening to a Garbage song say like John and says something like “that is a great band!”. LOL!

This is my theory on why I think Savannah is important. I think she is part of the resistance. I think in some way she will revolt against her “mother”. I have been thinking about this ever since I saw “The Tower is Tall but the Fall is Short“. I should really post my old episode reviews I wrote on myspace.

When Savannah is doing her homework she was talking to John Henry on the phone. After that he notices there is a security breach, so he instructs Savannah what to do through the blue tooth earpiece she is using.

I don’t know I feel indifferent about the death of Derek. I mean I didn’t hate the character, but he wasn’t my favorite either. It is a loss to the show though. Maybe a different Derek will come back. When he got shot a lot of people think that Sarah or Cameron shot him, but when I watched the video again I noticed that the water delivery guy did. I didn’t think Sarah would no matter how mad she was a Derek.

It was a good thing that she remembered John Connor because he taught her how to tie her shoes in Dr. Sherman’s office. I liked the part she says Dr. Sherman died. She thinks it’s her fault that Derek died. She tells John about John Henry even though her mother told her not to talk about him. At first when she talks about him John thinks she has an imaginary friend. She says he can’t leave the basement because there is a cord in the back of his head. She also says Ellison teaches him stuff. They figure out what she is talking about.

I liked the part about the eel in Weaver‘s office. That thing is pretty creepy looking in her office. When she said it ate cuttlefish I thought about how good those are. They are good dried like jerky. She said it also eats other eels. I don’t know why I found it funny when she said “Please don‘t tap the glass.”

I think Weaver got the police to go to the theatre where Sarah was because she said she was going to meet with Sarah Connor.

I thought it was funny when John and Cameron are watching Sarah on tv in a store window. The store was called “Screen Time” LOL! :D

Fallon Fangirl

I found this old diary or more like a memory book. I don’t know it’s not really like a diary because there are different sections and categories like there is a section to write about your friends, one about how you dress, one about your room, and one about entertainment, etc. When I was looking through it for a different section I filled out. I noticed I wrote about Jimmy Fallon. I wrote this back in 2002. When I was a senior in high school. The reason there is a picture of him taped to the page was that it said to paste a picture of one of your favorite tv stars or something like that.

I’ve included a scan of part of the page. I think what I wrote is quite silly and it should be shared with the world. LOL! :D

After I read that I remember something else I did. Back when I was a freshman in college and I had the internet I found an address (snail mail) to write fan letters to him. I remember I use to work on it when I was in my boring classes. Too bad he never sent a reply. :(

Here is one of my favorite Jimmy Fallon pictures. He looks so cute next to Gwen. ^-^
