Hot Clothes!

The heat is sweltering! I feel depleted.

My outfit and shoes arrived for Stella. The outfit I bought was incomplete, but I knew that when I bought it. I saved a lot of money the carded versions sell for about double. All I really wanted was the skirt, top, and shoes. I think the green stole doesn't really go with it. There is a picture of the carded outfit here. I'm going to make my own stole and purse.

I think the shoes are Musa's shoes. They go really well with this Bratz dress I already own.

You pondering what I'm pondering?

I wore my Pinky and the Brain. It was strange since I got 2 compliments on the shirt. I really liked it, but I thought it was childish. It was funny since one of the people who complimented me on the shirt asked why they stopped making the cartoon. I really have no idea. :/

I'm still going to embrace "adult clothes". I need to dress well to get a job and such. I think I'll keep my "bad hair" for now.

I was thinking I could incorporate the shirt into a Pinky costume. I saw a Pinky and the Brain costume somebody made, and in my opinion it wasn't that good. I still haven't decided on a costume yet. I still have about 6-7 months left. I'd need to think about how I'd go about making it. I was also thinking about dressing as something or someone who is red or wears red. I was thinking: Minnie Mouse (red dress), Harley Quinn, Musa from the Winx Club (casual outfit season 1), devil, strawberry, Strawberry Shortcake (either 80s or 1991 version), cherries, Wicked Witch of the East, and Something Glee related.

I threw out these characters; Ringo from Tokyo Mew Mew, Anemone, Sailor Mars, Kaitlyn/Poppu from Magical Doremi/Ojamajo Doremi, Lisa Simpson, Wordgirl, Red Butler from Rainbow Brite, red riding hood.

My Own Double Down

I tried to make my own version of a double down at home. It didn't come out very well. In my version I put mayonnaise and lettuce to health it up a bit. It didn't come out too good and I think I ate too much meat. I think I'll just stick to putting my chicken sandwiches in a bun.

Let's Call the Easter Bunny!

I was online looking for a very specific commercial I'm looking for a 1-900 or 976 number to call the Easter Bunny and it's not the ones on youtube I saw those and none of those are the one. I'll say it aired somewhere between 86-88. It had a very effective jingle; and had the words "party", "bunny" and "fun" in the jingle. My mom recalls a cheeky girl in the commercial saying that if the kids didn't ask permission they'd get a spanking. Apparently somebody else is looking for that commercial too. (Read the comments. The commercial with the bunny painting is not the one!) I really want to find it because I called that number.

I think my nails are too long. I got one of them caught in the keyboard.

I went to the mall.

There was Glee nail polish, but none of the colors appealed to me. Strangely there was no McKinley High or Cheerios red.

They upped the amount of the Sanrio service card now it is $5 instead of $1. It'll take me forever to fill one out! I bet the prizes are still worth the same. It went from $50 to $250! I remember the old cards that were 35 spaces or $35.

There was some ok Easter candy at the candy store, but it was fresher than the stuff that's been sitting there for months. Sometimes I poke the candy with the tongs or scooper to see if it's fresh. A few months ago I bought some stale watermelon jellies.

silent reading time = nap

Geraldine Ferraro died today. The funny thing is that my high school history teacher expected my class to remember when she ran with Walter Mondale of course we didn't because this happened around the time we were born! How much should I remember from 1984? *shifty eyes*

Just remember that she pre-dated Palin by many years. (Some people were saying that Palin was the 1st woman to run on a major party national ticket)

Is there something wrong with me because I don't like US history? Does that make me un-American? I spaced out during the last 2 US History classes I took.

Let's have 30 minutes silent reading time! I need a nap!

Arbitrary Song

I decided I'm going to write an arbitrary song. Not a novelty one like something like the songs "Ache", or "Magic Chicken". I was thinking it should reference other arbitrary songs. What should I write about? Days of the week, cosmetics, candy and soup have already been taken. What about rolls or going grocery shopping. I'm stumped! :/

purple eyes and pork chops

Elizabeth Taylor died. I wonder if she is hanging out with Micheal Jackson? I wonder what happened to Gypsy the elephant?

I'm trying to come up with a name for the pork chop sandwich I invented. What about a chop sandwich? Or a PC sandwich?

I'm happy that dark roots are in style. I'm already wearing that look. I think it's called "ombre". Red hair is back in style too. 1996 throwback! I can pull that off. I'm upset that the side part is back in style. Those always make my cheeks look fat.

There is now a video shortage because of the tsunami. On tv they were saying that they were going to wipe the tapes to save tapes, but can't the footage be digitally archived? It's not like the 1970s when stuff was erased (especially game shows) and nobody else had it except for maybe some person with one of those "new " VCR things.

School Sandwiches

My dad likes gross things like American cheese slices on breaded chicken patty sandwiches. My mom eats them with gravy. Bleh! I like very simple bread chicken sandwiches. Either with lettuce and mayonnaise or just ketchup with no veggies.

I invented a new sandwich. A pork chop sandwich. It consists of a roll, a breaded pork chop, and mayonnaise. The sandwich is pretty simple put the pork chop in the bun and spread mayonnaise.

It's similar to those breaded chicken fried patties that the school cafeteria would throw into buns, and pass them off as "country burgers" or something like that.

Chris Brown and Charlie Sheen need to team up.

Fancy mustard on a Shoe

Mountain Dew Cherry Fusion I like it a lot better than code red. I didn't know if they still sold it there. I also got a Polish sandwich swimming in yellow mustard. That sandwich would taste so much better if it had Dijon mustard in it than yellow mustard. "...you know you could put that fancy mustard on a shoe and it would taste pretty good to me." -Steinbrenner in the Seinfeld episode "The Jimmy".

I saw this strange music video yesterday about people throwing things and doing trick photography. I tried it, and it doesn't work. All I got were a bunch of pictures or blurry streaks. The end of the video was weird all the people that were taking the photographs died at the end because they crashed their van. The ending reminded me a little of The Cardigans' video for "My Favourite Game".

Something strange happened on facebook. It was funny/strange and weird all at the same time don't worry it's nothing bad. I'm not in danger or anything like that.

I emailed somebody something last year, and I guess they saved the message I sent or added me into their contacts. I'm not going to give out too much info though.

I didn't have any "new" or "inventive" way of eating the leftover corned beef. I just put it in ramen.

Does this Green Count?

Here's a picture Patty O'Green I was scouring the internet looking for one last year. Luckily I found my Rainbow Brite book and scanned a picture.

It was strange this year since my dad didn't yell at me for not having the basketball game on. I was startling, confusing, and refreshing all at the same time.

Getting my jollies from reading Yahoo Answers and the distressed peoples questions on there like "If I color my arm with green marker will that count as wearing green? I don't want to get pinched and I don't have any green clothes. "

I'm just happy I don't go to school anymore and get socked for not wearing green. Not pinched; not lightly punched. When did pinching turn into socking? I'd fare better playing a round or slaughterhouse. (The handball game where the person who misses gets punched. It's banned in a lot of schools. )

I ate my corned beef today. My mom likes to make sandwiches with pickles and mustard. I just like eating a chunk of meat. I like the uninhibited flavor of the meat on it's own. Corned beef can stand on it's own.

It's towards the end of the day and I haven't even listened to any Irish music.

The only thing I manged to over indulge on this year was meat.

I think my comic is coming along well. I might be focusing on it too much. I noticed that a lot of my stories tend to focus on fashion. I do have a good one about a sandwich. It still doesn't have a title. I was thinking about using the word "disaster" in the title, but I don't know will that be offensive? The comic is about going to school, and stuff like that. It's mostly making references to the 1990s, and making fun of the way I dressed as a kid.

Another Glee Story

I thought "Only Child" was a good song and very relateable. "Loser Like Me" was really good too. I'd like to sing that to some of my former teachers and my dad.

"Big Ass Heart" was good too it reminded me of a Jeffries Fan Club song called "Another Love Story". I'd love to hear Puck sing that song on Glee.

I liked the use of confetti filled cups at the end of their song. I don't like the way the girls were dressed they wear a fancy dress with leggins that look is too causal for the dress they wear.

After they won regionals it made me wonder why they go straight to nationals wouldn't there be a state one first? That just confused me.

With my Mind on my Money and my Money on my Mind

This is the best title I could come up with. Did I reference Snoop Dogg in this blog before?

My dad is only interested in what I'm doing because he thinks it will be beneficial to him. This is covered in the rant blog.

The job search wasn't as much of a headache as I thought it would be. But there were some problems. The place doesn't open until 9AM, and they don't answer their phones until then. When I call they want me to go in for an interview. I ask where the place is located, and I just get the city. Very helpful! A person can't find a place without an address.

When I get to the place the door is locked it seemed like somebody didn't want people coming in

The place looks like a startup. When I walk in I see one person manning the website and the phone at the same time. The voice was the same this was the same person I talked to in the morning and called on Friday afternoon. The place is pretty baron save for a few computers and the warehouse with the stuff they ship. It is severely understaffed. I counted 5 people there including the person manning the website.

The guy conducting the interview had no idea what he was doing. He was just showing me the place. Then I got an application it was the sparsest application I ever filled out. It looked like something somebody typed out in a rush and forgot to add essential sections. As I'm filling it out the guy says he forgot to put a section for skills.

When he is interviewing me he just starts talking to the other workers. He wasn't giving instructions it was just small talk. I found that highly unprofessional. For it being a place for shipping things the workers were working pretty slowly.

When the interview is over and I'm almost ready to leave they guy tells me he for got to ask me to put my phone number on the application. There was not a section on the application for that.

I like the laid back attitude. Who knows this place might be like Kruger Industrial Smoothing.

My Schadenfreude

Now on to some fluff/inane things.

I found a site that rates some of my old high school teachers. LOL! I found this website by accident. Some of them got mixed reviews. Then I was wondering were they really good teachers or were other people just saying they were good? Or was this the best the district could rope in? They weren’t all bad just the ones I read mixed reviews about.

I got my jollies on by reading a blog by one of my former teachers. It was my schadenfreude. The funny thing about this blog is that it claims to be original writings, but a lot of it is just quotes and stuff. I’m not saying quoting or referencing is bad it just seemed to be a large portion of the blog. They also have a twitter account, but I don’t think it’s as funny as the blog. Their twitter feed was quite bland. After reading their online thoughts I was thinking how could incorporate this teacher in my manga? They have or had a very distinct look; including a signature hair cut. Once I got in trouble for drawing a cartoon of this teacher for a project for my French class. (it wasn‘t my French teacher) Personality wise this teacher would be like a Sue Sylvester type. (I‘m not going to link the blog or twitter page)

I've been trying to find a good chibi pose to reference. I want one that looks meek.

I was sort of hopeful that I got a call back from some job the only problem is that yesterday I missed the call by accident. Maybe those noise canceling headphones are really better than I thought they were. My mom got mad because I spent a lot of time researching the company. I need to be sure. Anyway they call like at 4 something PM. When I try to call back the next day it’s closed for the weekend and the phone lines are open on Monday.

I’m upset because my academic renewal was not approved. :’( I have no idea what to do maybe I can meet up with a school counselor or something and see what they say after this happened.

It’s the time change, and I totally forgot.

Double Telethon

I have a great idea! there should be a double telethon for the people of New Zeland and Japan. There should also be some type of benefit album/song.

I don't want to trivialize the earthquake in Japan, but it did get rid of all that nonsense Charlie Sheen coverage.

no title

I had this really strange dream about dead animal, and Finn from Glee was in it too.

I like the headphones I got for my birthday at first I didn't like them, but now I do. I'm noticing nuances in the music in songs like "Subhuman" and "You look so Fine."

To anybody who noticed or cares KVMD 31.4 is showing KOCE. Strange!

Emma fanart (Glee)

I made some Emma fanart. I'm somewhat satisfied with it. I think she would make a better chibi. It's ok I'm feeling artsy and this is my first piece of Glee fanart. Previously I had planned on making a Rachel collage, but I couldn't find any gold star stickers.
She's holding a sandwich in the picture, a pb&j one, and wearing her plastic gloves.

Afternoon Delight

Glee was confusing,

It was funny when the students were confused about the cucumber. It reminded me of when I took a sex ed class with a guy who was a lot like Puck.

I thought it was funny they made a reference to Jazzersize. The Prince song was handled well.

This is what the kids use to do when I was in high school if they were homosexual they would just tell everybody they were bisexual. For some reason the people at school seemed more accepting towards that.

Emma singing "Afternoon Delight" was hilarious! Emma is so cute! I'd like to draw some fan art of her, but I don't know. I wouldn't want to offend the Gleeks by drawing a bad picture of Emma. I think she would look good as a chibi. I can't listen to "Afternoon Delight" after seeing it sung on Arrested Development. The episode it was sung during was also titled Afternoon Delight.

Miscellaneous blog #41

I finished a rough draft my manga based on my life. I only make a 4 panel strip to start. I was thinking about starting with 3rd or 4th grade, but maybe I'll start earlier like 5 but there will only be a few stories from that era.

I think some of the phrases Sheen is saying are hilarious! I love the "Winning!" one. I'm going to use that. I wonder if that will end up on the banned word list at the end of the year? Unless it is used in context ex: "The Clippers are on a winning streak." or "The Angels need to keep winning to make it to the World Series."

I was thinking is there a popular song written about boobs? There are booty songs like "Baby Got Back". There is "Legs" by ZZTop.

Lent is coming up and I hate being lectured by people who think everybody observes it, and get mad somebody who is eating beef on a Friday. I do enjoy the seafood specials and availability of the "sea meats" like shrimp.

The Hard Part

First off the I found the job posting on craigslist. So I replied to it because it seemed like something I could do and didn't require a lot of experience. I was a little skeptical since the location was pretty vague.

I get an email reply with an attachment that is the application. It said to write what position I wanted on the top. I wasn't sure, so I just wrote something that was not manager.

I could not find directions to this place. When I did find it the place is in a strip mall that is being refurbished.

Me submitting the application ties into the sandwich story. But how it ties in is not really worth posting.

I got a call about my application. Asking about the lack of work experience. It was really hard to hear the person calling me because I don't know where they were, but I could hear a lot of clanging. They tell me that I wrote the hardest position on the application how was I supposed to know? When I went back to check the listing on Thursday it was already gone.

Absurd Sandwich

I tried the Fried Cheese Melt sandwich at the Denny's. It was really good, but adding some bacon would make it better. They give some side dipping sauces with it, I think there should be some kind of sauce inside it. The 2 sauces they give are marinara and ranch. I passed on the marinara since I hate red sauce. Since the mozzarella is in breaded stick form and not just another kind of melted cheese the sandwich is a little squirty. After I ate it I remembered that Friendly's sandwich everybody was upset about a while ago. I never ate at Friendly's there are none in my area.

If somebody really wanted to eat something fatty they would order the Fried Cheese Melt sandwich with the appetizer sampler plate that comes with onion rings, mozzarella sticks and chicken.

I was also thinking about how to replicate it at home or improve on it.

I picked up a bag of Hi chew in assorted flavors; green apple, strawberry and orange. I paid $1.99 for a bag is that too much? I can't remember if I had tasted the orange and strawberry varieties. The orange one is very fragrant. I wrote about Hi chew before. The blog about it is posted in the archives.

Unemployed Winner

Now I have a great catchphrase to tell my successful orphan teacher.

After I thought about it maybe he was not a really good teacher. He use to mispronounce the names of countries. Especially Tanzania. He would pronounce it tan-zane-EE-uh. According to this site an numerous years of watching Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? I pronounce the name of the country right.
