I Like English Music

After thinking about my 10 year reunion (which I'm still not going to) I wondered what kind of entertainment would be there. Wouldn't it be like a dance? I'm not sure I don't know much about reunions.

Don't they usually play the music that was popular when the people went to school? Then I remembered something really important there probably wouldn't be any English (language) music played since they hardly played any at the dances. I'll say 5 songs at the most. Most of the English songs that were played were old ones like "Valerie Loves Me" by Material Issue. Why would I want to waste my time doing something like that?

Staged Kiss

It was funny when Finn mispronounced the word "nicoise"; more funny if you know that Cory is from Canada. Rachel is funny when she says she wants her picture on the wall of the restaurant. The joke about Rachel buying Cats tickets was dumb. Rachel should know the show hasn't been on Broadway for awhile. Even I know that! I think it would have been funny if it would have been Brittany or Puck who bought the fake tickets.

Rachel had a very That Girl esque outfit. It sort of reminded me of the outfit Muffy wears in the Arthur cartoon Muffy goes Metropolitan.

I kinda saw the ending coming a mile away. The way the season was set up in the beginning. First they mentioned where nationals was being held. They even sang about it in the season 2 premiere. They breeze through sectionals and regionals. Plus Vocal Adeline is not their immediate competition anymore. If they would have won it all the way there would have been no goal for next season.

Last season was written in a way that if the show was not popular, and then got cancelled after 13 episodes the story lines would pretty much be resolved. Quinn's pregnancy would have been one that would have not been resolved.

Why didn't you Tell me Before I Went?

Before I went to the job interview my mom and I got into an argument about wearing perfume or not. This website says you shouldn't. But after I thought about it that site posts a lot of bad information like their potatoes delmonico recipe. Plus those laughable guides on how to make a Rainbow Brite and Strawberry Shortcake costume.

At the interview I noticed a girl had a really fancy resume with all these graphics and her name in a fancy font. That's wrong, right? I think I need to make my resume look better by using a bigger font. Like when a person writes one paragraph on a page, and they use a size 26 font so it fills up most of the page.

Why do companies do this?

They act like you should know what they are thinking when you get there, and they don't tell you anything.

The guy asks me where I want to work at, and then tells me there are no job at that location. But there are some open at a location really far from me. I was not going to work at that location even if I could drive. It would not be worth it. Not for minimum wage and the driving distance.

Why bother listing that a location is hiring if they are not?

It would be like if I wanted to work at a local Burger King. When I go to the interview they tell me only Burger King restaurants in Miami Florida are hiring and not the local ones in California.

The guy conducting the interview tells me that I should have known 2 weeks ago that they were hiring at my desired location.

I really wish I did have psychic abilities so I would know which jobs were just a bust and waste of time.

Maybe I'll just chalk this up as a loss and post another (purposely) pathetic craigslist ad.

It wasn't a complete waste of time since the place I was interviewd at sold some good candy and I finally tried those raspberry dollar candies after all these years. They are very good.

How Not to get Hired

Some of these are joke reasons some are real.

You give a landline phone number
For food experience you write Burger Island, Cake Mania, and Papa's Pizzeria.
For animal experience you write nintedogs and catz
You are ugly
You are fat
You are the wrong race or gender
You wear cologne or perfume
You smell
You did not provide a photo of yourself before the interview or with your resume (non modeling or acting job)
You are the wrong astrological sign

I feel Fine

I started out the day doing a bunch of mundane things like shopping and other boring stuff. I missed Belmont since I was napping, but I managed to wake up and catch the replay.

I'm working on some new recipes. I'm trying to make a good peanut butter and honey sandwich. So far I have made one with honey on one side and peanut butter on the other. I didn't like it because the honey crystallized on the bread. Then I tried peanut butter on both sides of the bread to stabilize the honey like I do with jelly. That also didn't work. Maybe I need to mix the peanut butter and the honey together? I want to make a cold sandwich. Most of the recipes I find online are for warm ones like a grilled cheese.

I made a new drink too it's cherry limeade (minute maid) mixed with a little bit of lemon lime soda.

Nothing happened!

I'm somewhat disappointed. At least I'll get to eat the candy I bought this morning.

Maybe it's just me but I don't associate the Blondie song "Rapture" with the end of the world. Seriously I have no idea what that song is about.

My comments are all back including one about Angel's Friends that seemed to be in limbo.

I still gotta review those panda cookies I bought! x-x

Fritter Away Time

If the world is ending very soon. I've been spending my time doing nothing. I think tomorrow I'm going to watch horse racing on tv. The Belmont Stakes. I'll probably occupy my time with other mundane things.

It was just like the way it was 12/11 years ago when people were afraid of Y2K. Guess what that never happened. I'm still kickin'. I went back to watching my music video tapes.

There was a sillier one about people who were born in January in an even numbered year and regularly wore their birthstone. They would explode on new years day on I totally forget the year. I think it might have been 1997 or 2000.

Macho Man Randy Savage died today. I remember his Slim Jim commercials well. They would buy a lot of ad time during American Gladiators. I think they might have been a sponsor.

Hot Sauce and a 2 Page Resume

I can't believe my dad doesn't know that Jack in the Box tacos have hot sauce in them! XD

It's a good thing I didn't go to a job interview today They were holding them at night and I really wanted to watch the season finale of The Office. It was a good thing anyway since something happened beyond my control that would not have let me get to the interview in the first place.

Gabe being psycho was funny. When he kept saying Andy was unqualified. I think I write resumes like Daryl. It was funny when Kelly got promoted. Dwight as a burn victim. I thought Jim was going to say something about the invisible man. Kevin's thoughts on puppets were funny. When he said they should be singing about the alphabet. Sometimes Kevin reminds me of myself. Now I know why I get laughed at when I mention I like puppets or Pokémon to people. :/

All the different guest stars coming in were ok. It was better than the guest appearances that they did during their Super Bowl episode.

Is This Disney?

I'm a little behind on my blogging after blogger had that problem.

I see a lot of people trying to think of Disney themed Halloween costumes, but they can usually only think of the princesses, villains, Pixar and classic characters. Or they come up with non-Disney characters like ones from The Swan Princess and The Corpse Bride.

Here are some ideas of lesser known but still Disney characters: Fluppy Dogs, Wuzzles, Anybody from the Disney afternoon, One Saturday Morning shows like; Pepper Ann, The Weekenders, and Recess, Clarabelle Cow, Horace, Tortoise and the Hare etc.

Here is another thing I'm wondering when did dressing up in costumes on the last day of school come to be? I never remember that when I went to school. Mostly because kids were running around with eggs and stuff. Usually the neighborhood reeked of eggs for about a week after school ended. Usually people dressed nicely or they wore clothes that they would usually get in trouble for like halter tops and booty shorts for girls. They wore banned clothes because they knew they weren't going to get in trouble for wearing them since it was the last day of school.

Pure Imagination

Glee seemed like the death of Jean's was a filler episode. It didn't seem to fit with the previous episode, and the character development of Sue.

If Jean died at 50 then that would make Sue over 50 years old. Even though she usually claims she is in her late 20s to early 30s.

I hate when jobs have interviews at strange times. Who conducts interviews in the evening and night? :/

Frown in the Dark

I was upset when the power went out because I was on a message board because then it says I read all these threads I didn't. Through all the confusion in the dark I bent the metal part on my USB cable. I have such bad luck with those. The one that came with my last MP3 player broke and so did this one. I was really upset because I didn't have any way to test if the cable was good or not. I was waiting for the power to come back on. It usually comes back on within an hour. The only reason I was concerned is because the computer gives an error message after being shutoff. I remember it happened one time when my dad was using the computer and he freaked out! Error messages freak him out; a lot. I just wanted to get to the computer first and fix it.

The power was out for more than 2 hours. When it turned back on I fixed the computer, and went to be frustrated.

Redemption Island was a FUCKED UP season! It was as bad or worse than Marquesas. I think Rob should try, and sign up for a writing class at my school. He'd rule it better than that other guy.

Maybe I'll stop watching this season really left me sour.

Did we go to High School Together?

Seeing old people from school that should say former class mates when you're out doing something is much more harder than ignoring somebody on facebook or something.

This didn't happen to me it happened to my mom. I was with her when it happened. I didn't really know what was happening I was looking at cans of beans.

After I saw this I wondered who else was shopping there.

It made me think about when I was younger about 14 I used to get confused for other people from schools I've never heard of.

Then I could make up a high school or mention one from a tv show like Bayside High from Saved by the Bell or William McKinley High from Glee.

What'd you do? Cut this out of a Magazine or Something?

The Glee prom episode was strange. Somebody older must have thought about their prom since it was only for juniors and didn't include a meal.

Why are people surprised that Jesse got kicked out of college so quickly? I know I knew when I was going to get kicked out especially when a person doesn't have the grades.

Nobody can get prom dresses for $5 even if they are used. The cheapest is probably between $20-30. If the glee club is so hated then why didn't the other students mind when they performed at the prom? Was Sue the only chaperone? Why do people act like it's a bad thing if you stag? Brittany is sometimes smarter than she seems when she tells Santana that the crown is just from a party store.

Watching the Glee prom episode made me think of the junior/senior proms I went to in my junior and senior year.

junior prom: There was some intervention from my mom and my cousin from getting me from wearing something too outrageous, saw a girl in a Jennifer Lopez knockoff dress, I wasn't really going for a 50s look but it looked like I was, I had to get an emergency cardigan because I didn't have a wrap, There were other outrageous outfits like a Mickey Mouse dress and somebody who wore costume wings.

senior prom: A lot of people made fun of my 80s inspired outfit (I really wanted a 40s inspired one), Some people weren't even dressed that fancy (mostly boys) There was live music, some girl was wearing outrageous eye makeup that rivaled that of Scary Sheri, The bathroom was really fancy, they served shrimp, they also served lamb, my friend's boyfriend ended up on the list of nominees for prom king but his girlfriend didn't, as a joke to my economics teacher (who was a Seinfeld fan) I danced the Elaine.

Each of my proms should get their own blog entry.

I was thinking of using an idea I got from watching an episode of The Monkees. Specifically the episode "The Picture Frame" where Micky gives a picture of himself as a baby to a fake movie director. I was thinking of doing something similar. I think I'll use my senior high school picture. Who would hire a baby!? Or maybe I should go and find a picture of a hot brunette and try to pass it off as myself. I just have to make sure it's not a picture of a celebrity.

I decided to be like George Costanza in "The Bizarro Jerry" episode, and take a picture from a magazine. It’s not like I need to cut it out. I just need to scan it. It just needs to be a good looking brunette female.

Boring Pill

I found another review of the Patsy Cline show. This one is from the LA Times.

Without further adieu here are the lyrics to the incredibly horrible "Earthquake Drill"

Earthquake Drill

Everybody try to squeeze under a desk
And its such a mess
Go outside for the earthquake drill
Its like taking a boring pill
We stood in line for a little while
Then everybody left or broke off with style
Everybody’s thinking of things to do
The time just never flew
By
Somebody got hit in the butt another in the eye
The bra straps were a pullin’
And nowhere was where we were goin’
It was an hour long
I was bored so that’s why I wrote this song
(Fades out into the repeated lyrics Earthquake drill It‘s like taking a boring pill)

Miscellaneous blog #42

Here is a bunch of miscellaneous things strung together.

I found the lyrics to "Earthquake Drill". I never realized how horribly laughable the lyrics are. I should post them on here for a good laugh.

After posting that ad on craigslist all I got were offers for scam jobs. Some of them were vague and desperate. Maybe I'll post another ad soon. When the current one expires.

On the way home my dad was looking for a bathroom because he didn't go before we left the venue. He didn't know that a lot of fast food places that are open 24 hours only have the drive thru open after hours to prevent robberies. How could he not know that?! I misspelled the word "sultry" forgive me I was tweeting on my phone, and it doesn't have spell check. :(

The real reason I didn't want to say I was going is because I don't own any recording equipment to record the performance. Here is somebody else's review of the show. Shirley is mentioned as the "Former Garbage front woman" Okay... -_-

Here is something strange after the show I looked up Zooey Deschanel's profile I didn't realized she was in The Offspring's video for "She's Got Issues". My friend use to joke like I was the girl on the video because she sees all these strange cartoon things. She was also in "The Jag" video. I'm not an obsessive fan or anything. Those videos came out at about the same time. Those videos were both on the music video tapes I've been going through. When I watched the "She's Got Issues" video I noticed the girl has an outdated job; she is film developer. That job is pretty much obsolete now.

My dad picks out the tackiest things for my mom. He always wants me to go shopping with him, but he is such a jerk and makes scenes in stores. I'd rather not!

The Lakers NBA finals hopes are crushed. They were eliminated. It reminded me of when they lost to Detroit in 2004. They were really broken back then.

This Entry Falls to Pieces

I really didn’t want to say what my prize was yesterday because I didn’t want people to get too excited. I won tickets to the Patsy Cline tribute show.

It was funny when I told my dad I won the tickets he wanted to hear the phone message. But he couldn’t because I left my cell number for the contest. I don’t take chances anymore after what happened with Career Advisor. He wanted to know where it was from and how I entered.

I’m upset because I don’t have any frozen rib sandwiches. I hope I’m not jinxing myself. I usually have one when I engage in a Shirley related activity.

I wasn't sure what to wear. I wanted to look "classy" the event was being held at a concert hall and not an arena or a club or something. Here is a bad quality pic I took of the stage before the show. It's so blurry! >.< I checked out the bathroom, but it was nothing special. I thought it would be fancier.

Before the show I tweeted a couple of inane tweets. "Ready to see the queen ^-^" and "I'm channeling something classy for a darkling :P"

I really liked the Living Sisters' dresses they looked like what I wore to my junior prom. Except mine was longer and lavender.

Shirley looked great she was wearing a tight black dress with strappy black heels. She sang 3 songs like she said she would. She threw in a funny antidote about singing a Patsy Cline song with a band she was in that broke up. She also talked about Mother's Day. I figured I'd try to take it at the end of her set, so if I got kicked out I would not miss her performance. I tried to be sneaky and take a picture of her with my phone, but it didn't come out. :( That's what I get for trying to be sneaky maybe some photos will surface somewhere.

After the show I tweeted this "Show was good Shirl looked radiant & her voice was soutrly"

The whole show was very interesting.

I don't really like country music or listen to it. Does the Monday Night Football theme song count? :P

Some Idle Friday

The day started off strange. I had a really weird dream and then I jammed my thumbnail in real life.

I've been burning through blank DVDs. Making DVDs is a pretty mundane thing to do. I get this phone call. I was hopeful it was for a job. But it was for something else. I won a contest! This is real I did enter this one. It's not a scam. (I'm not telling what it is, yet) The only problem is that my parents aren't home, and I don't drive! I haven't won anything recently since that Charlie Lapson wallet I won last year. Maybe my luck is changing.

I was going to give this blog a different title, but I thought that title was giving it away.

Back to Genki

I used to be a Genki Girl but around the time I turned 17 I stopped. I think I was just Genki for everybody else. Maybe being Genki kept me skinny?

This time of year gets me down especially when my family receives college graduation announcements from my cousins who are way younger than me and graduating college.

I decided to post a really pathetic ad on craigslist looking for a job. The only reply I got so far was for a scam job.

Does anybody think by Deangelo getting hurt this is a way of writing him out of the story? It was funny when Ryan pretended to be Kelly's supervisor. Was Ryan quoting "#1 Crush" lyrics? The funniest part was in the opening when Deangelo thinks Kevin is smart.

Fondue for Cats!

Glee was somewhat predictable. I saw Sam's plotline a mile away in that episode. I didn't think they would do a Fleetwood Mac episode.

That reminds me of a funny story about my parents. Before I was born my aunt came to visit my parents, and she wanted to hear some Fleetwood Mac, but my dad said they didn't have any because my mom doesn't like them.

Brittany's cat Lord Tubbington is really cute! And really obese. I liked when she interviewed her cat after Santana bailed on her. When she asked her cat if The Aristocats is an exact replica of a feline relationship. I wondered is this the cat she thinks is reading her diary? Or is that another pet cat she has.

KNBC had finally debut the California non stop channel. I hope it's better than that sorry excuse of a news program called News Raw. It took them long enough to launch the channel. It was proposed in December or January. Now I kinda miss the satellite radar pictures; just a little.

I Wasn't Asleep This Time

This is another "where were you?" post. This would make a good memoir. ;P

When I heard the news I think I was either on twitter and/or meez. My dad was mad because it cut into AFV. I checked on some other websites to see what was happening.

All the Americans reveling in the streets looked like something from somewhere else. Or maybe some kind of sports celebration.

I smell a potential Halloween costume.

At least I didn't sleep through this one. Like I did with MJ's death. I sort of slept through September 11th when the planes struck the buildings it happened between 6-8AM in my time zone. I think my mom saw The Pentagon part. Or I got the wrong information like with Columbine. Somebody at school told me it happened in Connecticut.
